Mentre lasciamo Inverness, guiderai lungo il famoso Lochness e ti fermerai al famoso castello di Urquhart per ammirare le viste mozzafiato di Lochness prima di dirigerti verso l'isola di Skye con vari altri panorami assolutamente incredibili lungo la strada, più andiamo a ovest e meglio diventa, questa è solo la punta dell'iceberg per così dire!
Mentre guidiamo lungo Glen Moriston, arriveremo a Loch Cluanie, uno spettacolare lago artificiale con vista sulle 5 sorelle di Kintail. Ci dirigiamo verso il meraviglioso Glen Shiel verso il castello di Eilean Donan
Mentre ci spostiamo lungo l'incredibile Glen Shiel, ammireremo le viste mozzafiato della valle mentre ti parleremo della battaglia di Glen Shiel che ebbe luogo qui nel 1719, una battaglia non così conosciuta ma molto significativa nella storia delle Highlands.
Qui ci fermiamo al famoso castello di Eilean Donan, uno dei castelli più fotografati della Scozia, seduto su un'isola minuscola dove si incontrano Loch Alsh, Loch Duich e Loch Long, qui puoi attraversare il ponte fino al castello e passeggiare all'interno del castello se lo desideri, ci sono 2 diverse tariffe per camminare solo sul ponte o sul ponte e l'interno del castello. Ci fermeremo qui allo Sligachan Old Bridge per vedere le fantastiche viste sulle colline Red e Black Cuillin. Qui puoi anche vedere la straordinaria statua di bronzo di Mackenzie Collie. Questo è il fiume dove puoi procurarti l'eterna giovinezza! ;-)
Qui ci fermiamo a Portree per il pranzo e visitiamo il meraviglioso villaggio e il grazioso porto progettato e progettato dal famoso ingegnere Thomas Telford.
Fermandosi in questo luogo magico, è come se le Fate un tempo vivessero qui in questo paesaggio strano e bizzarro, ora vagato dalle pecore locali! :-)
Scendendo a Uig per una pausa e una sosta alla fabbrica di birra Uig.

Mentre scendiamo in questo bellissimo villaggio di Plockton, ci aspetta un villaggio di pescatori vittoriano, con vista sul castello di Duncraig e puoi persino vedere le palme che crescono qui.
Un punto panoramico mozzafiato che si affaccia sul Loch Carron fino al villaggio di Lochcarron.
Fermati per i servizi igienici e il tè pomeridiano presso il bellissimo Ledgowan Lodge Hotel, una splendida residenza di caccia vittoriana ora un hotel.
Oscillando in Rogie Falls, dove percorriamo la pista per portarti su un vecchio ponte sospeso per vedere il salmone che salta da luglio a settembre.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day trip from Inverness through the Highlands to the aisle of Skye. What a fantastic part of the world and what a gorgeous day we had to be able to see all the sites. Our guide, Graeme, was fantastic. He was not only kind and knowledgeable, but a safe and proficient driver, which is incredibly important considering the single lane roads, etc.. We couldn’t have asked for a better tour and highly recommend this one.
Be prepared for a full day of amazing vistas. Our guide Gaven was a plethora of knowledge and great stories. There are many places to visit and getting to them all in one day is next to impossible. Our guide helped us plan the best route to see the most.
We did a one-day tour from Inverness to Isle of Skye (and back) with Gavin. He was outstanding. Very friendly and informative. Lots of local knowledge and suggestions. He had great stories about history and the areas we were seeing. The owner, Ryan, was very easy to communicate with. All-in-all, very professional and enjoyable. We couldn't have asked for more.
We set off from Inverness on a private day tour with our guide Malcolm, whose rich storytelling and deep knowledge of Highland history made the journey unforgettable. The views of the Highlands were absolutely spectacular, and Malcolm made sure we experienced them at their best—kindly stopping at every scenic spot and even helping us take beautiful pictures along the way. He was incredibly gentle, sweet, and thoughtful, making us feel relaxed and well taken care of throughout the day. Thank you, Malcolm, for giving us such a wonderful memory of the Highlands. Highly recommend Sgurr Tours to anyone visiting this magical part of Scotland!
My family of 3 did a full day Isle of Skye tour from Inverness with Ryan. He was fantastic! He touched base several times leading up to the tour and let us know exactly when he was on his way to pick us up. He knows the island so well and knows how to "work around" the big tour buses so that stops are not as crowded as they could be. He took us to a wonderful little bakery that we never would have found on our own. He is very professional yet personable. We absolutely loved our time with Ryan and would not hesitate to recommend him.
By far the best day of our trip to Scotland. I have been considered to be a somewhat aggressive driver having owned several sports cars. We rented a car for the duration of our stay. After reading some reviews we decided to let go of isle of Skye part of our trip and do a tour for the day. We are so glad that I did. First it was the only day that I got to truly enjoy the scenery. Also the roads up to Neist Point were drivable but would not have been an enjoyable experience for my wife or myself. Finally, our guide was fantastic. Took us to see everything we wanted with great commentary. So much information that we would not have gotten from a book or online research. He also took us on a couple of side excursions that were not on our itinerary that allowed us to see things off the beaten path and to interact with the locals. If you want some local flavor do go to the giant museum. Cannot recommend highly enough

After deciding we didn’t want to navigate to isle of skye using our own rental car, we decided to book this private tour! It exceeded our expectations! I traveled with my mom and sister and it made the day stress free not having to drive or locate sights on our own. Our tour guide was very professional, knowledgeable, and super easy to talk to throughout our tour! He was flexible and tailored the tour to what we wanted to see! He also took us to the most delicious spot for pizza!

First and foremost Ryan was a complete professional, knew his history, and made what could have been a very long day fly by. We asked for a change in the itinerary and Ryan went out of his way to drive the extra time at the end of the day to make sure we saw the Culloden Battlefield. I would highly recommend his tour.
