Imbarcati sul treno a vapore Jacobite per un magico viaggio di 2 ore lungo splendidi paesaggi costieri e sull'iconico viadotto Glenfinnan. Reso famoso dai film di Harry Potter e votato come una delle ferrovie più panoramiche del mondo, questo è un viaggio che non dimenticherai mai!

Itinerario
Partiamo da Inverness e iniziamo il nostro viaggio lungo il famoso Loch Ness, fermandoci per scattare foto sopra le rovine del castello di Urquhart.
Continuiamo verso ovest e visitiamo il Commando Memorial che domina la catena del Nevis; sede della montagna più alta del Regno Unito, Ben Nevis.
Ora hai la possibilità di salire a bordo del treno a vapore Jacobite a Fort William, uno dei viaggi ferroviari più spettacolari del mondo. Il treno attraversa il viadotto di Glenfinnan dove ora si trova un monumento alla campagna di Bonnie Prince Charlie. Il viaggio in treno dura circa 2,5 ore e ti porterà a Mallaig dove la tua guida ti incontrerà.
Goditi la tua pausa pranzo nel villaggio di pescatori di Mallaig. Consigliamo di assaggiare alcuni dei frutti di mare locali!
Lo splendido scenario continua fino a sera con una sosta a Fort Augustus per vedere da vicino il Canale di Caledonia e Loch Ness.
Goditi alcune viste incontaminate sulla strada meno percorsa sul lato sud di Loch Ness.
Prima di tornare a Inverness, visitiamo Dores Beach sulle rive del Loch Ness.

Torquil was a great driver and guide. Enjoyed his role in the tour. However, the overall tour sorely lacked a “Harry Potter” interactive experience. Sadly, the only HP activity was the train ride and seeing the returning train cross over the viaduct. Would’ve been nice to have something to do on the bus or train related to HP that built excitement and was led by someone such as HP trivia. Underwhelming for the time and money.

First, I the driver Iian was very kind and knowledgeable of Highland history. The Harry Potter details were limited and the bus microphone broke in the first 30 minutes of the first 2.5 hour bus ride. We then boarded the train, which was fine. Unfortunately, very little Harry Potter, train background or history was provided during this 2.0 hours either. During the train ride they did sell Harry Potter stuff, but little commentary. After a short time in Mallaig we boarded the bus back to Inverness. Unfortunately, some of the places we were supposed to stop had know parking options, so we missed key stops. Our drive tried his best and went a different way back. It still wasn’t what we were sold and they refused any type of refund. I would never recommend this to anyone! I’ve been on 30 Viator Tours and this was not good.
Amazing guide and experience overall! The train was the highlight for me and of course all the dad jokes ;)
Craig was a great guide and did a fantastic job.
We had a great tour guide in Karen. From Inverness you are on a real time line. Karen made sure we had 15 mins spare to sort ourselves before the train left Fort William “FW”. Just a tip for future punters: from FW travel on the left or port side to enjoy full sight of the Glenfinnan Viaduct. Spectacular scenery, much photo opportunities, interesting Karen stories throughout. A very enjoyable day.
Tour guide Martin was amaizing. We had a wonderful day with lots of information, tales, stops for stunning pictures. Thank you!
I thought the Hogwarts Express would be the highlight of the trip but the older woman checking tickets was so very rude! The younger staff on the Jacobite Steam train in charge of the trollies and pointing out important sites were fantastic. That said, the bus tour was so much better than we expected! Our guide Karen was wonderful and made sure we saw as much as we could and was super friendly and helpful! It was a wonderful way to see Inverness, Mallaig, the beautiful Lochs, and more! Highly recommend!
The worst experience I've ever had in my life. I would never recommend this guide Karen or this tour.
Good itinerary. Guide and driver Karen was excellent. Good sense of humour with strategic photo stops and good knowledge of history and helped with all questions. She did everything to make our day fun and enjoyable and get on the train. Would recommend this tour. Harry Potter merch at the station before getting on the Tran and a trolley on the train.
