We booked a trip to a vinyard with tasting in Ginosa, Puglia. First we were left to see the vinyard by ourselves and we were wondering what's happening..was a bit confusing..but after a while other guests started to arrive. Finally the actual tour started. We were introduced to the vinyard and told what grape was produced there and the whole procedure how everything was made. Also they farm olive trees and we got the information on how they are grown there and how old some of the trees are. Was very interesting. Next was time for the actual tasting. We got to taste 6 wines and 6 different olive olis with bruscetta. With the last wines we were served with focaccia with cold cuts and Mozzarella. All was absolutely amazing and the chat with other guests and with the family owned winery was so much fun. Even with a bit of a rocky start the final experience was absolutely worth every penny and I can highly recommend this visit.

Wonderful visit to a small winery not too far from Matera. The winery experience was great. We tried many wines and were given many local food samples. The driver was friendly and good. The tour company made me feel like we were in the wrong place at the wrong time. I was very worried about the experience.

Pros; We were picked up and taken to the winery in a luxury van, although 15 minutes late. The winery is very small and it took only about 45 minutes to tour the grounds and production facility. The family that owns the property is lovely and the wines were excellent While tasting, we were provided with a variety of regional appetizers. Cons; The tour is operated my a local tour group, Martini Viaggi. The experience while meeting at their office was chaotic and the employees were rude. The tour was scheduled for approximately 4 hours, but it would be difficult to spend that much time at the venue. We have used Viator successfully in the past, but not sure if we would consider this tour a 400+ euro experience.
