Nella parte nord-occidentale del lago Sevan, su una stretta penisola rocciosa, si trova uno degli esempi più importanti di architettura medievale armena - il monastero di Sevanavank. Fu fondata nell'874 d.C. dalla principessa Mariam.
Nel 13 km a nord est di Dilijan, in un luogo accogliente, si trova il complesso monastico Haghartsin ("Danza delle aquile"). Fu costruito tra il X e il XIII secolo e ha tre chiese.

We had a great time using this company to go around Sevan and Dilijan. We had great service and the driver always tried to make sure we were comfortable & kept asking if we wanted to stop anywhere along the way.
