The tour was nice but there were too many stops along the way and we ran out of time and did not get the "milkshake" that was part of the tour. In my opinion, there was way too much discussion and sharing about the home pricing and high cost of real estate. I totally understand the mention but it seemed to be the main point of the tour. I feel that we should have had ear pieces and the guide a device to speak to us rather than having to stop every few minutes to talk.
Great tour; enjoyed the ride around Sullivans Island and the history lesson! Would recommend! One person had a bike issue and the guide didn’t have a set of basic bike tools on him, which surprised us and should probably be a standard on a tour along with a first aid kit.
Thank you so much for the kind words and for recommending the tour — we’re really glad you enjoyed riding around Sullivan’s Island and the history along the way. You’re absolutely right that bike issues, while rare, can occasionally happen. Our approach is to quickly swap bikes rather than have guides stop the tour to troubleshoot mechanical issues. That way, our guides can stay focused on what they do best: safely leading the group and sharing the stories and sights that make the experience special. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback, and we hope to welcome you back for another ride soon!
Wonderful tour and guide! We had a great time on a beautiful day. It got a little windy at the beach so you may want long sleeves and/or a jacket on a 65-70 degree day. We were quite comfortable in just long sleeve, dri-fit shirts and shorts or cropped pants though the owner thought we might be cold. Left for our tour at 1:30pm rather than 3pm which likely helped. Going fast on the beach was the best! Stay near the front of the group if you really want to hear the history part of the tour. That is the only reason I gave the tour a 4 rather than 5. Guide did his best but he was competing with distance and riders distracted by the view. Highly recommend for experienced teen riders and up.
Great experience; Ben was a great guide and had lots of local knowledge and also took great photos!!
Our family has gone here multiple times for regular tuning on our Rad Power Bike. We were looking to ship our bike cross-country and were lacking a wrench big enough to remove the peddles from the crank. Bryson popped them off in 10 seconds and gave us some good pointers on safely packing as we had never shipped an electric bike before. Thank you guys so much and thank you, Bryson!!
What an amazing experience! Highly recommend! Our tour guide was informative with a sense of humor. He even took and provided pictures of our experience. A repeat for sure.
Absolutely Book This Tour! The highlight of our Charleston trip was this e-bike tour with Ben. We saw how absolutely beautiful the surrounding areas of downtown Charleston are. Ben was so much fun, very informative, accommodating, and great company to spend the time with. We covered so much ground and loved every minute of it.
This was a great tour!! SO MUCH FUN! Teddy was awesome, the tour was informative and the scenery was beautiful. Ride on the beach was just fantastic! Take this tour - it was a blast!
The e bikes are a blast! We had a great tour guide around the low country, historic village, and the beach. Highlight of our trip to Charleston!
My husband and I made the spontaneous decision to rent bikes on our vacation and it was the best day of the week! Teddy and Ty were so helpful and informative about where to go and things to do and gave us a very helpful map with a route marked out for us. We absolutely loved riding on the beach (see photos)! Afterwards, we spent the entire day biking around Shem Creek and Sullivan's Island, stopping here and there for a drink or a bite to eat. In particular we stopped at Vickery's bar and grill and had a beautiful view of the creek and relaxed dining. Highly recommend! We really enjoyed biking around some of the side streets and looking at the beautiful properties. They had the bikes ready and waiting for us when we arrived. Thank you for a great day!
