We decided to take the water taxi on a whim from the Charleston Waterfront, and I’m so glad we did! For just $17 for an all -day pass, you can hop on and off at each stop, explore at your own pace, and catch the next boat whenever you’re ready. It’s a convenient and relaxing way to see different parts of Charleston without worrying about parking or traffic. While we didn’t spot any dolphins this time, the ride itself was absolutely worth the fare. The views from the water were beautiful, and our guide kept everyone entertained with humor and interesting facts throughout the trip. Whether you’re visiting Charleston for the first time or looking for a different perspective of the city, I highly recommend adding the water taxi to your itinerary.

Such a seamless experience! It was a large group of us as we were celebrating a family reunion and we were blessed to be aboard the FUN boat. 😂 Captain Jeff and Tanner were an absolute blast. The breeze off the water was everything we needed for such a hot day and the many dolphin sightings put the icing on the cake. 🥰

Charleston Water Taxi is a fun, cheap way to get around to some of Charleston's highlight locations. It's a hop-on/hop-off boat experience that stops at 4 convenient, easy to find docks in areas that you will want to visit anyways. Their website if very informative for the detaFun ils on schedule, parking, etc.
It was a busy day, so we had a long wait in the hot sun. There were 2 taxis we missed because they were full. Amy arrived and insured us that we would make it on the 3rd one. Iris was our Captain, she was a delight. Amy and Iris turned a not so good start, to a great experience. They made our wait worth it. They were both very friendly and helpful.
Very relaxing and informative. The conductor was good at explaining the area that we were in and each stop and what it had to offer.
Beautiful reprieve from the summer heat on the water. Chill vibe on the boat, lots of families, captain and crewmate were very hospitable. We saw several dolphins.
