Itinerario
Una delle 14 Tūpuna Maunga (montagne ancestrali) della regione di Auckland. Con i suoi 196 metri di altezza, Maungawhau o Mount Eden è il vulcano più alto di Auckland. Dalla vetta si può godere di una vista spettacolare della città e dei suoi porti.
Il Cornwall Park è il più grande parco vulcanico di Auckland. Sir John Logan Campbell ha donato il parco della Cornovaglia alla Nuova Zelanda nel 1901 Molti abitanti di Auckland andranno in questo parco per picnic e barbecue. Ci sono molte pecore e mucche nel parco. Quegli animali sono di proprietà del comune. Con più di 350 specie e 8000 alberi, il parco della Cornovaglia è il paradiso per gli amanti degli alberi!

Un uso forte ma sensibile del colore è un segno distintivo di Ayrlies che si vede meglio nel bordo lurido dove i colori "caldi" sono usati con grande effetto e in altre aree dove rose antiche, clematidi e piante perenni sono combinate in una profusione romantica. Il Giardino ora copre circa 4 ettari di terreno ondulato, con grandi prati, laghetti e cascate. Ormai da oltre 50 anni il giardino si avvicina alla maturità. Alberi e arbusti formano uno sfondo mutevole per il giardino. Le linee di vista sul Golfo di Hauraki e all'interno del giardino sono preservate con un'attenta arboricoltura. Un'ampia zona umida di Ayrlies collega il giardino al mare.

Lenna was wonderful. She was our personal guide for the day. We visited beautiful Ayrlies Garden & Wetlands and Cornwall Park with spectacular views. Would highly recommend this tour, especially if you are a gardener and hopefully get Lenna as your guide!

Our guide was excellent - arrived on time, provided guides to the gardens we visited, knew the spots to view the highlights and drove a route that allowed us to enjoy scenes around Auckland. We were the only visitors in the morning to Arylies Garden which was an outstanding garden to visit.

The nature tour was a great way to spend the day. I got to see places I wouldn't have discovered otherwise and explore Auckland's green spaces. Sean was an excellent guide and everything was well organized. Highly recommend :)

What a wonderful tour! We visited four beautiful parks and had incredible views of the city. The stop at Arylies Gardens and Wetlands alone was worth the price. Sean is an outstanding guide and his knowledge of the local history and culture is first rate!
