Casa Carbonell, un edificio modernista costruito negli anni Venti. Secondo la leggenda, fu commissionato da un industriale tessile dopo essere stato umiliato dal suo umile aspetto quando arrivò da Alcoy durante un'epidemia.
Il Municipio di Alicante, costruito nel XVIII secolo, è un esempio eccezionale di barocco civile valenciano. La facciata principale presenta due torri simmetriche che incorniciano l'edificio. Nella torre di sinistra si trova l'orologio, che utilizza la grafia romana "IIII" invece della solita "IV", una convenzione comune in orologeria che risale a tradizioni storiche.
In passato, questa piazza era conosciuta come Plaza de la Horca, in quanto luogo in cui si svolgevano le esecuzioni pubbliche. Essendo situata accanto alle antiche mura della città e a una delle sue porte principali, era un punto strategico per la punizione della popolazione: le esecuzioni avvenivano in piena vista di tutti coloro che entravano o uscivano dalla città.
Questa piazza, anticamente conosciuta come Plaza de las Barcas, deve il suo nome attuale al famoso scrittore di Alicante Gabriel Miró, la cui statua presidia lo spazio dal 1929. Si tratta di un luogo di grande valore sentimentale per e un'oasi di ombra e tranquillità nel cuore della città.
Questa strada pedonale è diventata famosa per la sua decorazione con grandi funghi colorati, un intervento artistico che l'ha trasformata in un'icona fotografica e per bambini.
Inaugurato nel 1847, il Teatro Principal è il cuore culturale di Alicante. La sua facciata neoclassica con colonne ioniche è una delle icone architettoniche della città.
Questo pittoresco quartiere, adagiato sulle pendici del Monte Benacantil, conserva l'impianto moresco fatto di strade strette, case imbiancate a calce e ripide scalinate.
È il tempio più antico della città, costruito sul sito di un'antica moschea dopo la Riconquista. La facciata gotica e i dettagli barocchi testimoniano la sua evoluzione nel corso dei secoli.
Situato sulla cima del monte Benacantil, questo castello è stato una fortezza strategica fin dall'epoca islamica. È una delle più grandi fortezze medievali della Spagna. Le sue origini risalgono al 9° secolo, durante la dominazione degli Musulmano.
La Plaza de España è uno dei principali spazi aperti di Alicante, situato proprio accanto al Mercato Centrale. È un'area molto frequentata, sia per l'attività commerciale che per la vicinanza a istituzioni culturali e quartieri tradizionali.
Nella stessa zona si trova la storica arena di Alicante, inaugurata nel 1847 e una delle più antiche della Comunità Valenciana. È stato testimone di spettacoli di corrida, concerti ed eventi popolari. Sebbene la sua destinazione d'uso si sia evoluta, rimane un edificio di grande importanza per il patrimonio urbano.
È il punto di partenza delle mascletà durante i falò di San Juan. Migliaia di persone si riuniscono qui ogni giugno per celebrare la principale festa di Alicante.
Ai piedi del castello e vicino al centro storico, questa spiaggia urbana è una delle più conosciute della Comunità Valenciana. Il suo nome deriva dall'antico postigo (porta secondaria) che collegava la città alla costa. Oggi è un luogo ideale per rilassarsi dopo il tour, con il suo lungomare, le palme e le acque calme.

Guide was good, nice friendly, saw some sights, only complaint is the tour on Viator said 1.5 hours and we were cut to 55 minutes. Seems they overbooked as they reached out early and tried to reschedule but we were in a cruise ship and could not.
Slightly disappointed. Firstly though, we couldn't fault the lady driver. Friendly, helpful and informative. Some very good historical titbits. However, it felt slightly underwhelming, perhaps because we are residents and knew a fair bit anyway. It covered the old town, new town, mushroom street, bullring, castle etc. Took 50 mins not 70 (maybe we didn't ask enough questions). The lady kindly altered our drop off point, which was appreciated. On the negatives, the tuktuk is not fantastically accessible if you have leg or knee issues. The tour commentary needed speakers really, rather than talking over road noise. And we didn't get our complementary water. Mixed review but on balance worth it for being something different.
Ride was nice but driver was too fast. Recommend to drive slower to appreciate the sites xxxxxxcxxxx

Too expensive for what it is, not worth it, very little explanation, the girl was nice but she hardly spoke Spanish, which was the option I chose when making the reservation... a brief tour of unimportant parts of Alicante, or at least that is how we felt due to the lack of explanation... the only thing I can highlight is passing by Zetas Street and knowing how to get to Santa Catalina Castle, which of course we went to afterward, because they only gave us 10 minutes and we could only reach the door where we asked... quality-price ratio 0.

Sinceramente, nos resulta difícil entender una valoración tan extrema cuando la mayor parte de sus críticas se refieren a expectativas que no forman parte del producto contratado. La ruta, la duración, las paradas y el carácter panorámico del tour están descritos con total claridad antes de reservar. Un recorrido en tuk tuk por Alicante no es una visita guiada de varias horas al Castillo de Santa Bárbara ni una excursión a pie por cada monumento de la ciudad. Pretender lo contrario es simplemente no haber leído la descripción de la actividad. 🖤🛺 También resulta sorprendente afirmar que hubo “nula explicación” mientras destaca varios lugares que descubrió durante el recorrido y que visitó posteriormente gracias a las indicaciones recibidas. Si realmente no hubiera existido explicación alguna, difícilmente habría obtenido esa información. Respecto al idioma, la guía realiza tours en español de forma habitual. Que su acento o forma de expresarse no haya sido de su agrado es una cuestión completamente distinta a afirmar que “casi no hablaba español”. Lamentamos que sus expectativas fueran diferentes a la experiencia contratada, pero el tour se realizó exactamente conforme a la descripción publicada y aceptada en el momento de la reserva. ☀️💨

The tour started off great . Dori our driver messaged me 10 minutes before expected time to explain where she was . The tour is really good , the tuk tuk was electric, so nice and quiet. She took us around the city and all the time pointing out interesting things with a commentary too . We even went up to the castle for 15 minutes which was good for photo opportunities. All in all a great way to see the city . Thanks Dori, you were fab .

Our driver was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable and kept us on schedule throughout the trip. Dropped us at cruise port entrance so we didn’t have to fight traffic and bus ride.
