The trip was delightful, although I had a small health issue -not the tour's fault. The Algar falls especially are definitely worth making a special trip. The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable in his commentary. One thing.. the pickup point description (Alicante) wasn't specific enough. I nearly missed the coach because I was waiting in the wrong part of ' Puerta del Mar'. Which covers both sides of a very busy main road, & quite a large area, but I was 'found', & all was well. I would recommend this tour.
Carlos was a great guide , really enjoyed it.
I really enjoyed this trip. Beautiful views in Guadalest and an amazing experience in Algar. I wish we could stay longer.
Excellent guide and very informative! Plenty of time to explore the little gem village of Guadalest, with time well spent at the Algar Waterfalls on the second half of the tour. Perfect amount for a half-day trip.
Ula our guide was amazing!! She was very organised and we knew where we had to be and at what time in each place. She had loads of knowledge about the places visited and was friendly and approachable. Guadlest was absolutely stunning! Beautiful views all round and lots of little shops and restaurants located on picturesque streets. The waterfalls were equally beautiful but beware, there is a long climb to the top where the toilets are (it’s worth it though!). Overall a wonderful trip that we all enjoyed immensely. Thank you!!
Great day trip. Doesn’t leave too early and you are back by teatime. Wear comfortable shoes as there is a LOT of walking up and down over uneven surfaces. Take water shoes for the waterfalls. It’s VERY slippy in the pools with loads of stones. Not a trip for anyone with mobility issues. Otherwise the village is beautiful and both sites are well worth a visit.
An enjoyable trip and a great way to see both Guadalest and the waterfalls. Guadalest is a beautiful, picturesque Spanish town and the waterfalls are lovely – very cold water, but gorgeous scenery! The timings were good and we had enough time at both. Unfortunately, there was no commentary on the coach as the microphone was broken. The guide did his best, but the history wasn’t always very clear, so I’d recommend Googling Guadalest before you go. The only other issue was the coach seating. Passengers picked up in Alicante were spread around the bus, meaning couples and groups boarding in Benidorm struggled to sit together. This could easily be better organised.
It is worth all the money. Guadelest with the Castle and the story was very interesting. The two hours we had available were plenty. Instead, I would have liked to have more time at Algafar waterfall because it was so lovely. The water was a little cold until you had been in the water for a while. There were many people, which made it take a little while to get in and out when there are so many people. Our guide Emilio was really good. Both having to guide/tell the history of the area in Guadelest and Algafar in both Spanish and English at the same time, I know as a former guide is quite demanding. He took the time to answer all questions in both Spanish and English. Our bus driver was an experienced man who drove fantastically. Was like Emilio, smiling and happy. A trip you should experience when you are in the Alicante area.
Loved visiting Guadalest, and such a picturesque drive up there. Our tour guide Jessica was very knowledgable about the area also. The waterfalls of Algar were gorgeous but it is very touristy so expect a lot of people. The water was amazing though! Water shoes a must here.
If getting picked up in Benidorm please be aware there is a few Kebabishi on the Ave de Europa make sure you are at the correct one, phone the tour guide to check if insure although helpful if you can speak spanish. Tour itself was great and beautiful you get to swim at the 2nd stop which is Waterfalls at Algar. The lockers are very small so we had to pay for 2. It advisable to wear water shoes and they are cheaper in a supermarket about 8 euros rather than at the waterfalls shop. Great day out pleased we booked it.
