Questo tour è perfetto per coloro che hanno solo un paio di ore di riserva o che preferiscono che la loro guida sia solo su piste ciclabili. Questo percorso è a soli 10 km, quindi la guida è facile e la distanza è breve (se sei alla ricerca di un giro in bici più lungo, dai un'occhiata al nostro tour di mezza giornata). La nostra introduzione al tour di Wellington è ambientata ad un ritmo facile con un sacco di tempo per domande e scattare foto ad ogni tappa del tour. Il nostro tour si concentra su sei persone che modellano la città e segnaleremo alcuni dei principali punti di riferimento di Wellington lungo il percorso, tra cui il Parlamento, il Wellington Stadium, il Te Papa Museum, la Cuba St, l'Oriental Bay, la stazione ferroviaria di Wellington e lo storico lungomare di Wellington. Usiamo biciclette regolari per questo tour perché è prevalentemente piatto, ma è possibile passare a una bici elettrica.

Questo è dove inizia il nostro tour. Avrai tempo per sistemarti e abituarti alla tua bici.
Percorriamo il lungomare di Wellington dal nostro negozio verso Oriental Bay. Il lungomare è animato da una giornata di sole e percorriamo sentieri condivisi.
Questo edificio unico e culturalmente significativo con la statua di Kupe all'esterno. Ti presenteremo una piccola cultura Maori e racconterai dei viaggi dei loro antenati a Pōneke (Wellington) e Aotearoa (Nuova Zelanda). Il Wharewaka ospita alcuni bellissimi waka intagliati (canoe).
Tienigli la mano e mettiti in posa con questa statua iconica e poetica sul lungomare mentre la tua guida ti racconta del leggendario e fantastico vento di Wellington! Non dimenticare di farti una foto con l'accattivante insegna di Wellington mentre sei qui!
Superiamo il Te Papa Museum, una delle principali attrazioni turistiche della Nuova Zelanda, quindi saprai dove trovarlo dopo il tuo tour in bicicletta.
Superiamo la vivace Oriental Bay. Nelle giornate estive i locali nuotano e prendono il sole. Se il tempo lo consente, ci fermeremo qui e avrai l'opportunità di prendere un caffè o un gelato.

Parcheggia di fronte al gigantesco "Wellington Blown Away" sulla penisola di Miramar. Un invio eccentrico e accattivante fino all'insegna di Hollywood dove sentirai anche parlare di una serie di cose come gli sforzi di conservazione di Wellington, storie dell'industria cinematografica e altro ancora!

Very kind, friendly and accommodating staff. This ebike tour was a great way to get a flavor of Wellington. We greatly appreciated being able to ride the bikes right back to our cruise ship when the tour was over. Wow, is Wellington windy!

Fabulous tour--we toured past many sites in Wellington. We got some great views, great info shared by the tour guide and it ended with ice cream. Perfect way to get a taste of the city.
Excellent trip to go to on your first day in Wellington. You visit the main sites of the waterfront and learn a lot about the city, architecture, history, nature etc. Dylan was my guide and he was great, very knowledgeable, easygoing and fun.
My wife and I rode the tandem and my son had an ebike. We rode out to Karaka bay then up the hill to the prison to take in the awesome views. The climb up was tough going on the tandem but well worth the effort once we reached the top. Highly recommend this activity.
I started with the intro to Wellington Tour. I’m not generally a tour person, but it was great to learn about sites and history of Wellington that I would have missed if I didn’t. I returned to rent a bike solo after lunch. These bikes a very comfortable and you sit more upright. The wheels are smaller and wider than a traditional bike. I didn’t need to use the electric function much for the Tour but once I took the bike around the peninsula, the extra boost came in handy, especially up steep hills. It’s was remarkably effortless. The guys at Switched on were wonderful and welcoming. They gave me a great route around the Miramar peninsula, which was the highlight of my trip. Pictures are from that ride. Highly recommended!
My girlfriend and I just arrived to Wellington for the first time and we wanted to do a guided tour, not a conventional one but something different. Luckily for us we discovered an intro tour to the city on BIKES! It started at Queens Wharf. We chose electrical bikes which are confortable and perfect to the city, really easy to ride. The bikes give you support if you need it (perfect to go uphill) so it makes the ride very smooth and pleasant. Our tour guide took us along the Waterfront, Te Papa museum, Cuba st, the stadium and other places. We had convenient stops where our guide gave us information about the place, facts about Wellington history or funny anecdotes. We definitely recommend it, specially for those first timers in the city.
