Vinicunca, conosciuta come la Montagna Arcobaleno, è un'affascinante destinazione situata nella catena montuosa Vilcanota, all'interno delle maestose Ande peruviane. Situata a un'altitudine impressionante di 5.036 metri sul livello del mare, nel distretto di Pitumarca, questa montagna si distingue per il suo terreno arido e le sue cime ornate da strisce dai colori vivaci, che vanno dal fucsia e dal turchese al lavanda e all'oro. Le diverse tonalità che adornano i suoi pendii hanno origini diverse: i verdi rivelano la presenza di minerali come ferro, magnesio e ossido di rame; i gialli evidenziano lo zolfo nella composizione; i bianchi emergono grazie alla sabbia quarzosa e alla roccia calcarea; mentre i toni rossi sono generati da argille e argilliti, che comprendono miche e rocce di quarzo. Questo meraviglioso paesaggio offre uno spettacolo naturale unico che attira viaggiatori da tutto il mondo.

La nostra mobilità verrà a prenderci in hotel secondo l'orario previsto e poi ci recheremo per 2 ore in autobus fino alla contrada CUSIPATA che dista circa 78 chilometri. La nostra colazione sarà nella comunità di CUSIPATA per un tempo di 30 minuti e poi proseguirà per circa 1 ora nella nostra mobilità verso la comunità di PHULAWASIPATA. Da questo punto inizieremo il nostro trekking verso la Montagna Arcobaleno - Vinicunca, la strada impiegherà circa 1 ora con 45 minuti a 2 ore di salita fino a 5.036 metri. Già in alto la nostra guida turistica ti darà informazioni su questa bellissima formazione naturale. Dopo aver ricevuto le nostre informazioni e il tempo per visitare la montagna e scattare le nostre foto, riprenderemo lo stesso percorso verso la nostra mobilità e successivamente torneremo per 1 ora nella città di CUSIPATA per consumare il nostro pranzo a buffet nel ristorante. (intorno alle 13:30). 14:30 Iniziamo il ritorno alla città di Cusco. 16:00 Arrivo alla piazza principale del regocijo

It was very chevere, the quality of the guides and destinations, the very rich food and the perfect transport. I really recommend it.
Trip was really great! Rainbow Mountain is amazing. We were only 2 English speaking in this tour but guid repeated all info special for us. There were not so much time on mountain and crowded but it was breathtaking. Guid helped with photos, followed us during uphilling. Food also was good
The trip was very well organised. Included food was very tasty. Roxy (our guide) was very professional and answered all the questions. Great quality for such price. I can truly recommend this trip.
The tour guide was great but the tour itself could have been conducted much better: 1) the time of pickup was not shared until late evening of the night before the tour 2) then, nobody showed up at that time and we had to have lengthy conversations with the guide at 4:30am to make sure that the tour is still happening 3) the place the tour stops is cold 4) there is no internet throughout the trip. I know that we should disconnect when we’re enjoying nature but some of us need to stay connected for emergencies.
Wonderful experience, the agency exceeded all our expectations. Great service and assistance (almost 24h), we close all the tours with the agency. Thank you for leaving our unique experience in Peru!
Great tour! Our guide, Willian, was fabulous, as was our driver Gavino. The only thing I'll mention is that this tour is actually closer to 8 hours, not 6. So plan accordingly. Definitely worth it!
We had an amazing day out from the start to the finish. Got whats app txt the night before about the pick up and reassurance about the time we would return as had flight to catch. Everything went smooth, breakfast and lunch were really good buffet style and plenty to choose from. Our guide William was very knowledgeable and happy to help. We had about 45 min at the Rainbow Mt. which was enough considering the altitude. And got back to Cusco before 5pm. Would highly recommend.
The trip itself was lovely and the guide was good, cheap price but you can find it for cheaper in Cusco town with the local travel agencies. Very difficult climb up to the Rainbow Mountain but totally worth it for the views! The reason I have to give it 2 stars is due to the absence of communication from the tour operator as well as the transportation. I booked this trip 3 weeks in advance- then 4 days prior I messaged the tour operator multiple times through Viator to get the pick up details - no reply. I had to contact Viator support 3 times for them to chase the tour operator - to no avail. As you can imagine I was anxious as I was in a foreign country and the trip was supposed to start at 4:30am. Finally the guide messaged me (at 10pm the night before- i was already asleep due to the early start) asking for my pickup location. I replied in the morning and they said that the agency gave them the wrong address. This meant that I was the last to be collected and placed at the back of the minibus (which was full - they overbooked the minibus as there was not enough space for the people who booked the trip - meaning one person did not come.) The journey one way is about 4 hours via minibus, and it was the most uncomfortable journey I have ever had. On the way there it was OK but on the way back I was feeling altitude sickness and so being squashed in the back with the passengers in front having reclined their chairs as well as no AC or windows was an absolute nightmare. I would definitely recommend to visit Rainbow Mountain but please choose a different tour operator as from start to finish all the lack of communication and the disorganisation tainted the beautiful experience.
Rumi was a great guide and really made sure everyone felt safe and got plenty of rest in between. He took our pictures, made sure we didn’t get elevation sickness, and other ways of support.
