Una giornata piena dell'aroma del caffè sarà la nostra ricompensa mentre visitiamo la più grande piantagione di caffè in Costa Rica, conosciuta come la tenuta Hacienda Doka, situata sulle pendici del vulcano Poas. Visitare questa piantagione di caffè Doka ti permetterà di imparare tutto sul processo e le buone pratiche relative a questa coltura, così come nel nostro tour della fattoria del caffè osserveremo i suoi macchinari e scopriremo passo dopo passo la germinazione dei semi per la prima coltivazione delle piante, il processo di sviluppo della pianta e fino al momento della raccolta del chicco maturo, conosceremo anche la storia dell'azienda, la produzione e le varietà delle piante di caffè, la geografia del territorio e il modo tradizionale di coltivare il chicco di caffè, è molto importante notare che trovarsi nell'ambiente naturale e culturale di questa piantagione di caffè ti farà venire voglia di goderti una squisita tazza di caffè mentre fai una squisita colazione tipica costaricana.
Andremo al bellissimo POAS VULCANO, la cui principale attrazione è che si può accedere al suo bordo. Non solo ha uno dei crateri più grandi del mondo, ma si trova nelle foreste montuose della catena montuosa vulcanica centrale e saremo in grado di imparare dalle emanazioni di gas, dall'ecosistema e dalla vegetazione. Sulla strada per il Vulcano potrai notare i suoi diversi microclimi e la grande diversità dell'agricoltura, potremo osservare una grande varietà di piantagioni e allevamenti di bestiame allo stesso tempo che avremo una vista spettacolare del Centro Valle. E la laguna del suo cratere ci lascerà innamorati della voglia di tornare. Il soggiorno completo nel Parco Nazionale del Vulcano Poas sarà di circa 50 minuti distribuiti in: 10 minuti nella conversazione iniziale e nelle informazioni, 10 minuti a piedi dal punto panoramico del cratere del vulcano, 20 minuti di permanenza fissa nel punto panoramico e un altro 10 minuti sulla via del ritorno al parcheggio dei trasporti.
Il Parco Naturale dei Giardini delle Cascate di La Paz è il tour naturalistico più popolare nell'area di San José con cinque famose cascate e il più grande santuario degli animali del Costa Rica. This was a great experience. Our tour guide who was also our driver was amazing and very knowledgeable. The food was great and various coffee samples and snacks throughout the day. Would definitely recommend.
Great experience!!! Fila, our guide, was very knowledgeable and kept us on a tight schedule. I can't believe we got to see a volcano up close. We also enjoyed our time at the coffee plantation and the Peace Falls. The scenery was amazing. I'd recommend this for anyone interested in nature and who enjoys that great outdoors.
Excellent tour! A full day of much knowledge and adventures. Our guide Filander made sure to explain everything about Costa Rica and that we felt safe throughout the tour.
Filander was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and informative. He was very patient and eager to answer our questions. He told us about many hidden gems of costa rica and places to eat and see. It shows how passionate he is and how much he enjoys sharing his wisdom. I was picked up on time from my hotel around 6:15 am. We drove to the coffee plantation where he walked us through the farm. We had an excellent breakfast and then drove to poas volcano. It was foggy with no visibility when we reached. He told us to visit the lagoon since he knew it was clear and knew the crater would clear out by the time we returned. He was right on spot and we saw the gorgeous views with full visibility. We then drove to waterfall garden where we saw different wildlife. We finished off with the 5 stunning waterfalls before we started our drive back to our hotels. Filander explained us about different plants, flowers insects, animals. Overall he had an amazing knowledge about everything. He even provided great options of other tours that I could take and how to book them. Overall It was a great day. Absolutely worth doing for someone visiting Costa Rica.
Really nice tour, especially for a first time visitor like me. The coffee and breakfast at Doka were amazing and learning about the coffee making process very iinteresting. The Poas Volcano is absolutely incredible and it should not be missed, even if the view is very affected by the weather. La Paz Waterfall is a beautiful place, a bit sad to see the animals in cages but unfortunately they are rescued animals that can't be reintroduced in the wild. I think most of these places can also be visited without a guided tour, but if you don't have a car or just want to relax, this tour is a great option.

This was a very well-organized and fulfilling tour. It covered all the must-see highlights around San José.We started at Doka Coffee Estate with breakfast and a coffee tour, then visited the Poas Volcano and Botos lagoon, and later explored La Paz Waterfall Gardens with animals, lunch, and waterfalls. The itinerary was packed but well-paced. Our guide, Fila, was experienced and explained everything clearly. Overall, it met my expectations and I would recommend it.
Filander was our driver/tour guide and we have nothing but good things to say about him. He’s been a guide for over 40 years and he has a wealth of knowledge. We started our tour at 6am and the first part of the trip was quick paced but that was purposefully intended to really enjoy the scenic volcanic crater but the entire trip was memorable. Our day was overcast so we didn’t get to see the crater but we got to see the beautiful waterfalls. Great experience and super fun, we got to meet a couple from Canada which was a nice addition!
