La medina di Marrakech è più vicina possibile a un film di Indiana Jones. È un labirinto di griglie fumose lungo la strada e incantatori di serpenti, tappeti berberi e appelli alla preghiera, palme ondeggianti e caffetterie arabe. Ed è il cibo che rende questa città così speciale. Dimenticate *sfenj* molli e tagines mediocri. In quattro ore scaverai in profondità in questa potenza culinaria. Aspettatevi vassoi di sardine che scoppiettano con il cumino in un forno a legna, spiedini di pollo affumicato che sfrigolano sopra il carbone, escargot bollite in ras el hanout, ciotole rilassanti di harira con datteri dolci al caramello, tangia a cottura lenta cotta nella brace di un hammam e molte altre sorprese. E' piu' di questo, pero'. È un corso intensivo sulla cultura che sta dietro al cibo, la risposta a tutte quelle domande culinarie: perché il pane è così sacro? Perché le date vengono servite in numero dispari? E il Djemaa el-Fnaa vale davvero la pena mangiarlo? Questa è una spedizione alimentare che non vorrai perderti.

Excellent tour. If you're a foodie and a first time visitor to Marrakech like we were, I'd consider doing this early in your trip to get you up and running in terms of the main highlights and some hidden gems of the food culture of the city, and learning to navigate your way around the medina. Our guide, Rashid, was fantastic - friendly, knowledgeable, and generous with his time. Come hungry, as you'll eat lots of food! Bear in mind the time of year you go - there's a fair bit of walking, and it's hot in the summer.
This tour was everything it promised and more. Our group was smaller than normal which meant we got more chances to ask questions and traversed the medina easier. From the flat breads, to pastries, the yogurt and sand coffee every dish was delicious and truly a slice of Morrocan life and street food culture. Bring your appetite, comfy walking shoes and a hat to shade yourself from the sun. I was glad to try so many dishes I'd seen in previous days but had been unsure what it was or how to order one.
It was a really cool tour with lots of interesting and tasty food stops. Our guide was great! He took us to a lot of authentic Moroccan locations. I’d do it again.
We absolutely loved this food tour! We felt like we got to try all the common dishes in such a short period of time, perfect if your stay is short! You get to learn at the same time as eating. Food was all delicious and the best part is you visit places you might not have tried on your own, but the guide is an expert and you feel like you got to experience authentic Maroccan food. And the guide bought us 2 water bottles throughout the tour which was amazing for the 36 degree heat.
Wow!! What a brilliant insight and exploration of the cuisine in Marrakech. As first time visitors to Morocco we wanted to explore some of the different food options and with so many restaurants and cafes available, we didn’t have a clue where to start. This is where Rashid stepped in! He took us on a culinary adventure over 4 hours through the souks and streets of Marrakech. We visited places we would have not have had the confidence to on our own, and as a result got to try some superb foods. I loved the interaction of the tour, and Rashid bought an abundance of knowledge and passion to the evening. Everyone on the tour had different highlights which shows the diverse range of items tried and I would highly recommend this as a slightly different way to explore the city.
Our guide, Rashid, did an amazing job of sharing his knowledge of Marrakesh specialties and where to find them. We had great food and learned a lot about local culinary practices. Highly recommend!
This food tour was the highlight of my stay in Marrakech. Thanks to this experience, I finally discovered authentic Moroccan cuisine, far from the usual tourist menus. Among the authentic flavors, the hidden stalls of the medina, and the passionate explanations, it was pure bliss for the taste buds. If you want to taste the real Marrakech, go for it with your eyes closed!

The food and experience was so good that I spent the rest of my time in Marrakesh wishing I was still on the tour.
