Scopri l'ospitalità del sud con il nostro tour gastronomico Charleston Brunch nel vivace quartiere di Upper King Street! Partendo vicino alla storica William Aiken House, iniziamo la mattinata con un burroso e fatto a mano Hot Little Biscuit. Mentre camminiamo verso Marion Square, ci immergiamo nell'anima della cucina Lowcountry con pomodori verdi fritti croccanti. Passeggiando per il quartiere di Mazyck-Boragard, assaporeremo un Croffle dolce e salato con pollo fritto e miele locale. Ci concediamo anche gamberi e granaglie cremosi e formaggio Pimento, il 'caviale del sud'. Prima di concludere nei pressi dell'Aiken-Rhett House Museum, vi sveliamo il nostro incredibile Secret Dish: una prelibatezza calda e nostalgica con un tocco locale unico!

La casa è considerata il complesso meglio conservato di strutture domestiche anteguerra a Charleston. Era la casa di William Aiken, Jr., governatore della Carolina del Sud, e prima ancora la casa di suo padre, il proprietario della South Carolina Canal and Railroad Company, William Aiken.
Inaugurato nel 1942 come principale sala cinematografica di Charleston, la regale architettura Art Déco dell'American Theatre e il glamour senza tempo di Hollywood rendono questo sofisticato luogo di eventi degno di tappeti rossi e tendoni abbaglianti.

L'Hotel Bennett è stato inaugurato il 27 gennaio 2019. La sua costruzione ha richiesto 20 anni di lavoro, i lavori di inaugurazione sono iniziati nel marzo 2015 e ci sono voluti 47 mesi per costruire. L'hotel è progettato per dare l'impressione che le sue origini risalgano al XVIII secolo. Molte delle case storiche di Charleston sono state utilizzate come riferimenti di design.
La terza stazione dei vigili del fuoco costruita dopo il terremoto del 1886 era una nuova stazione 6. Ha sostituito l'ex Marion Steam Fire Engine Company proprio in fondo all'isolato.

Just completed the Charleston Brunch Food Tour with Perry. Great walk around Charleston with the absolute BEST tour guide ever. Perry is so easy and fun to be with. He should run for Mayor - everybody knows him and doors open to food restaurants we never would have found on our own! One of the best ways to spend a half day in Charleston!

Our guide, Perry was so fun and full of awesome history and details on Charleston and the food scene. The food was delicious at each place.
