Funny that FOOD is capitalized in the tour title when there was so little of it. One-third of a chocolate bar and a $2 cup of ceviche. The other two stops were for beer and rum.
When will viator stop allowing this type to posts review. They should have a basic IQ test or something, at least make sure they can read! We run the tour exactly as it says.. we include the 5 samples of Panamanian products we say we will . . Heck, they dont even need to know how to read, you can watch is on CNN's destinos as they filmed this tour. Even illiterate people would know what was involved.. just sit back and watch.
We enjoyed ourselves on the tour. Jorge took us to a few spots off the beated path. Started with some coffee and chocolate, then off to a brewery for a sampling of their beers and settled on a glass of IPA. Then we went to a 'fish market' really kind of a food court but had 3 kinds of ceviche, which were really good. We ended the tour at a roof top bar for a rum sampling and a nice view of the city. We enjoyed our time with Jorge, and recommend him for any tour.
Thank you
Jorge was our guide and was very knowledgeable and friendly. Great stops and a wealth of information about Panama and it's food and cuisine! Thanks for a great evening!
Thank you
The trip consisted of a sampling of geisha coffee with a few (5) small chunks of chocolate, walking to another bar for7ea. 2 to 3 oz sampling of beers that my wife and I shared and then each of us had a 8 oz glass of beer. Walking to the fish market we had three small cups (about 3 oz) of ceviche ( shared) and then to another bar for a shot of rum each. The guide was informative and friendly. This tour was disappointing.
You could have copied and pasted what it says the tour does.. that is basically your review. Funny It is a super inexpensive and informative way to learn about those 5 products made in Panama while exploring a world heritage site and more.. ending on a rooftop with THE best view of the city and having 50 really great restaurants to choose from for dinner after this tour which SAMPLES those products. Lame Review
The pictures I posted below capture what I read on Viator when I booked the tour. Your title and your description on Viator is misleading. This is not a food tour. If you are looking to taste various Panamanian dishes, this is not the tour you’re looking for. If you want to do a beer tasting then choose a glass of beer, taste a glass of rum, have a sample of chocolate paired with a taste of Geisha coffee, and taste ceviche, this is the Food tour for you. The beer and rum were pretty good.
Obviously you are the same person that already wrote a review. If you are not able to read, you should not be allowed to write reviewsd because the tour discription is exactly when we do. We sample products that are from Panama.. and they all fit in the food/drink catagory. People like you should just stay home.. and learn how to read
I have done food tours all over the world. This was the absolute worst one I have had. If it were called a sipping tour that would have helped; however, the term ‘food’ tour is not at all what this is. We sampled coffee, beer, ceviche at one location and rum. The guide didn’t really connect with the group and was a bit standoffish especially as we strolled through the pathways. We did have the foresight to snack before going just in case we didn’t like the food but we didn’t expect to not have food at all. In the conclusion, this is not a food tour! It is anything but a food tour.
Learn to read! Did you do the touer exactly as it was discribed.. yes Did you sample the products from Panama that we promise.. yes Are you a poor excuse for a human.. also , yes
There was only one stop with food and one with a chocolate - 2 stops with just drinks so not a food tour
So, what you are saying is the tour did and went to all the places we said we would in the description . but you can read or comprehend written word but feel entitled to write and feel people should hear you roar.. got it We meet at 1 place to sample 2 highly sought after products from Panama (Geisha Coffee and Chocolate) and you sample them before we move on the Panama's 1st micro brewery.. Walk during sunset to the seafood market to sample ceviche at the local favorite and and return for a sample of our run on the roof the THE best view of the spectacular city skyline.. just like it says we do.. Until you learn to read, your written word/review worthless
Our tour guide, Nicole, was the best! We started off with the Geisha coffee and chocolate that was absolute perfection inside of a beautiful hotel in Casco Antiguo. We then walked to La Rana Dorada to try a flight of 6 different craft beers. Score! I enjoyed 3 out of 6. We then walked to the famous Mercado de Mariscos for 3 kinds of cerviche and crackers. Delicious, fresh and authentic. It's a working fish market that sells the fresh catch of the day along with preparing fish in an open style, casual restaurant. Perfection. We then walked to finish our tour with a cocktail on a rooftop overlooking the old section and all of Panama City. This is a must to-do tour while in Panama. I went with my friend, and it was just us and the tour guide which made it a personal and informative experience.
Thank you
The actual food that we ate was really representative of Panama. Would have loved to have more food throughout, however, showcasing more local cuisine. Despite this, it was an incredible experience. The guide was very personable, friendly, and knowledgeable.
Thank you
Kevin set us up with a great custom golf tour. The hotels and golf courses he chose for us were excellent. The food, city/canal and El Valle tours were excellent as well! His communication skills and attention to detail were amazing. We would recommend Barefoot Panama to all our friends!
thank you
