On our last day in Beijing we wanted to do a little shopping and have a look round Beijing to see what it had to offer. Our tour guide Ranee picked us up on time along with our driver. From here we visited a number of places listed above. Ranee was an excelled guide, professional, friendly and accommodating; changing our shopping itinerary to areas of interest and waiting patiently while we were purchasing items. She even helped us haggle prices further! She was also able to provide a wide range of historical knowledge along the way which was very easy to understand as she spoke excellent English. A lovely day to finish off our holiday, and when we come back to Beijing we will be sure to reach out again. One thing I also really appreciated was the lack of pressure to write this review, which we have experienced on other tours. Thanks so much and we would recommend 100%.
We had a great day with Lilly and our driver. She took us to places we wanted to see and places we didn’t even know we wanted to see. It was a fantastic day of shopping. We saw antiques, handicrafts, tea pots, electronics, pearls, jade, and garden statues in stores and flea markets. She knows where everything is and explained the various things the locals use. Highly recommend this tour if you want to go shopping in Beijing.
Competent accompaniment. Sherry and the driver Zang accompanied us competently from place to place and also fulfilled special wishes. Such a private tour is highly recommended.
Today we took a shopping tour with Sherrilyn, we loved her disposition, she was entertaining and she took us to very good information to buy.. totally recommended
My friend and I decided to spend the last day in Beijing shopping. We came across this activity on Trip Advisor and decided to sign up for it. Anson confirmed our tour the day before and was at our hotel the next day in time to start the day. He asked what our interests were and after some thought he laid out the plan of going to a tea market, Hong Qiao Pearl Market and Panjanyuan flea market. He offered to assist us with bargaining if and when necessary and sure enough we came out way ahead with every purchase. It helped that there were hardly tourists around because of the low season and vendors were desperate for customers. We appreciated his ability to translate as we wouldn't have been successful in trying to understand what was said. All in all if there was a rating of 10 I'd give Anson that!
Our guide, Sophia, meet us in our hotel lobby. We told her what we were looking for, and so she took us to first the Pearl Market followed by Silk Street. She was invaluable in helping find quality products and fantastic prices. She was ruthless in helping us bargain for the best prices and saved us lots of stress and money. Everyone in the group agreed the tour was worth it, and if we returned to Beijing we would go with this tour again. The tour was supposed to be 6 hours, but we were shopped out after 5 hours!
On October 26th we booked a 6-hour shopping tour. Becky and the driver arrived at the hotel on time and picked us up. Becky then advised us very well during the shopping tour. It is helpful to have a competent native speaker at your side. In addition to helping us buy in two different centers, we also learned so much about the country and the people. I'm sure we had a better position with the sellers when they see we're in company. The day with Becky was very nice and also worth the money. Without local knowledge it sometimes takes a little longer, or you can't find the right shops right away.
We ended our three-week trip to China in Beijing on the Saturday of Golden Week. Rather than go to the normal attractions with the throngs of people gathered for the 70th anniversary celebration, we opted to go shopping. Linda picked us up at our hotel and toured us through an amazing outdoor market. Not only did she help us to barter for good prices, she also carried our purchases for us. Because a couple of the normal markets were closed for the Holliday, we had a few hours left on our tour. After leaving the Pearl Market, we found that we were very close to the Temple of Heaven. Linda graciously agreed to take us there. She was incredibly knowledgeable of this historical site and gave us a first rate tour of this site. As a matter of fact, of the 10+ guides that we had throughout our trip, she was the very best. Linda is very charming with a terrific sense of humor! I would highly recommend her to you if your travels bring you to Beijing.
Becky is the BEST. She arrived promptly and donned a smile that easily put us at ease. She listened carefully to what we wanted to shop for and made suggestions accordingly. She was great to find clean restrooms and offered a lot of Chinese history that wasn’t necessarily part of the tour! We enjoyed Becky so much we asked her to be our private guide the next day to Old Beijing, Summer Palace and more. Great tours lead by a delight young lady.
Shopping with Linda was one of the highlights of our trip! We had some basic ideas of what we wanted (typical souvenir items plus some more obscure things like artwork and figurines). She knew exactly where to take us and helped us get a fair price on everything (we often paid a small fraction of the original price that vendors offered). We had a blast on this tour and would definitely recommend it!
