This was a lovely experience! Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, passionate, and easygoing. We had a mixed group of abilities, ages, and nationalities, which he handled with aplomb and generosity. The cemetery is quite large, but we felt he did a good job showing us the highlights, the unusual and even a few things our group was specifically pleased to see. A GREAT way to spend an afternoon seeing a different side to Paris.
Maria was an excellent guide, taking our group through otherwise unknown locations of interest throughout Pere Lachaise. As always, very knowledgeable, passionate, and open to questions. Telling stories of people from all walks of life united by their final resting place. Excellent tour, would recommend this and her other tours of Paris and surrounds.
Absolutely wonderful tour. Hugo was incredibly knowledgeable, funny, and charismatic - truly the best! He never rushed us and brought Père Lachaise to life with fascinating stories about the people buried there. It was engaging, memorable, and easily one of the best tours I’ve ever taken. Francois was really nice, and very knowledgeable about the history of the Cemetery and its occupants. We learned a lot. The tour was semi-private, but we were the only 2 which was great.
