I went to this tour with my friends and had a great time, The guide was very cooperative and had knowledge about the history and places, we also tried traditional and local Portuguese food which was delicious. Overall, it was such a heartwarming experience for all of us.
Mayinka was a lovely guide, and made a lot of effort to personalise the tour. She made sure we were comfortable and was really informal and kind. We tried everything and it was all delicious.
Tried so many great Portuguese dishes and everything was amazing!! Our guide was super friendly and kept things relaxed and easy to follow the whole way. A great way to see the city as well. All around a really solid experience, would recommend it to anyone visiting Porto!
Did this tour with three friends last week and we're still talking about it! Our guide Ana was absolutely lovely - super knowledgeable and you could tell she genuinely loved showing people around Porto. We hit 6 different stops including a traditional tasca, a cheese shop, and finished at a port wine cellar. The highlights were definitely the bacalhau croquettes (never had them that fresh before!) and the aged chouriço at the second stop. The wine pairings were generous - we were worried we'd be too full by the end but somehow managed to eat everything.
This was a great way to see Porto and our guide Daniela did a great job taking us to some places we wouldn’t have ordinarily visited. We sampled some delicious local food and drink and had a great conversation along the way. As it’s Porto, get some good walking shoes and you’ll handle the incline!
we had a lovely experience with this tour! The guide was super fun and the atmosphere too. The chosen food and the wine were delicious. Really good experience for the price! We will definitely recommend this to our friends.
I’m glad I skipped lunch because this was so much food! I feel like I got a good spread of different Porto classics. Mayinka did a great job navigating across the different local spots and gave me some other great tips on souvenirs as well :)
A great tour round the city, Flavio was our guide and he really knew his stuff! Very knowledgeable on local history, places to go, and most importantly the food and wine. Flavio is also a great conversationalist and kept me and my friend well entertained even with us being a group of 2 on the tour. We paid 75 Euros each for a 4 hour tour. Highly recommended
This was definitely an awesome way to learn about the Portuguese culture, food and history, and experience old Porto on foot. Our tour guide, Daniela, was amazing and adapted to having two guests which certainly worked for us. We benefited from her Portuguese heritage, her education in history and languages, and her warm, respectful and accommodating style. She introduced the traditional food experiences through a variety of authentic eateries that we would not have otherwise been to. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with her.
What started as a potentially awkward situation—everyone else cancelled due to rain, leaving me as the sole guest—turned into one of the highlights of my trip. Mayinka transformed what could have been a standard food tour into a private, personalized culinary adventure through Porto's hidden gems. Her knowledge goes far beyond the food itself. She shared fascinating stories about the city's history, culture, and neighborhoods, weaving context into every stop. But what really stood out was how genuinely warm and engaging she was. As a solo traveler, I appreciated that she made the experience feel like exploring with a friend rather than following a guide. Beyond the tour, Mayinka loaded me up with recommendations, local tips, and off-the-beaten-path suggestions that shaped the rest of my stay. If you're visiting Porto—rain or shine, solo or with a group—book this tour and hope you get Mayinka.
