La giornata comincia con un comodo trasporto con aria condizionata dalla hall del tuo hotel, accompagnato da una Guida locale professionista che condividerà fatti interessanti sulla regione. Una volta a Bayahibe, un affascinante villaggio di pescatori, salirai a bordo del nostro spazioso catamarano con musica, un open bar, zone d'ombra, servizi igienici e un vivace equipaggio pronto a intrattenerti mentre navighiamo nel Mar dei Caraibi. All'arrivo a Saona Island, rilassatevi sulle spiagge di sabbia bianca, nuotate in acque turchesi, godetevi il nostro open bar e concedetevi un delizioso pranzo a buffet in stile dominicano. Offriamo pickup da tutti gli hotel di Punta Cana, Cabeza de Toro, Los Corales, Cortecito, Bávaro e Uvero Alto. Alloggiare in un Airbnb o in una località non elencata? Nessun problema! Organizzeremo un comodo punto di incontro in un hotel vicino o direttamente presso il tuo Alloggio. Se preferisci, puoi anche arrivare direttamente al punto d'incontro utilizzando i tuoi mezzi di trasporto. Orario di prelievo : Circa 7 : 30 (l'orario esatto può variare a seconda della posizione dell'hotel). Una volta confermata la prenotazione, ti invieremo l'orario esatto di ritiro un giorno prima del tour tramite messaggio Viator, telefonata o WhatsApp per tua comodità. Hired this supposed to be “small group” tour to Saona Island, we were a party of 5 Pick up was delayed due to miscommunication with driver and picked us up by 8AM in a van only to take us to a Gift Shop where we boarded a minibus (capacity of Aprox 25 pax), with another 30 people in total extremely uncomfortable conditions, for a 90’ ride. We boarded a speedboat to board a Catamaran. Inside the catamaran, we had a very nice photo shoot (additional price of USD2.00/picture) and we were supposed to have a free bar included, however this only consisted of Water, Rum, Sprite and Regular Coke served in 3oz disposable plastic cups. We arrived at Saona Island by noon, and had a 2 hour layover. A Full Buffet was supposed to be included, however only Pasta with Tomato Sauce, Chicken, Pork chop and Rice with seafood were available as mains, potato and cabbage as salads and only pineapple for dessert. Beer was sold for another USD8.00 and a glass of white wine was sold for an aditional USD35,00 (extremely overpriced), Coke, Rum, Sprite and water were available “free of charge” The beach was beautiful, blue-turquoise water with barely any waves, very nice for spending the day, in fact we would’ve appreciated if we could stay longer than 2 hours. We then left for the “sea-star pool” (none were there), and we spent only 15 minutes there only for swimming and taking pictures. We then headed back in a speed boat to Bayahibe, our departure location, only to arrive soaking wet due to a storm we had while sailing, the speedboat did not have any kind of ceiling. Upon arrival in Bayahibe we boarded the same bus that took us from Punta Cana, and when we were arriving in Punta Cana, the driver decided to split us into two groups, being the mayority of the bus going to 2 resorts, he made us deboard and tried to forcefully make us board a mini van with capacity of 10 pax (the ones heading to 2 of the resorts, were about 18 people). In conclusion: Saona Island is beautiful and worth visiting, however this Tour Operator (Turcana) made the experience very unpleasant in what regards to the Transportation and not delivering what they promise on the website. I think it is extremely overpriced for what you really get.
Dear: Marin, We regret his comment about the Saona tour, however, we want to clarify some points of his comment. Because it seems to us that you are confusing our description with that of another product that you probably saw on some platform. Firstly, no one has a tour of Saoan for 5 or 6 people, unless it is private. In our description, we clearly inform you that it is up to 80 people. In our description, we talk about open bar drinks (not premium drinks or wine) The trip from Punta Cana to Bayahibe is approximately 90 minutes as we describe it in the information and as you confirm in your comments. The photo session is optional, if the client wants it he can purchase it, in the tour description we specify that photos is not including -exclusion part-. (the tour does not include a photo) On the catamaran or in the crystal glass is not safe because can be danger, that why all boar activities used it. The tour includes typical Dominican food on the beach in Dominican style, and we gave them that, just as you mention. The tour does not include a bottle of beer, or wine (at not point in the tour is a bottle of beer or glass of wine mentioned. On the island, which is public, it is available to everyone who visits the island if they want to buy it. No necessary if you don’t want because you have your drink including you can buy. (it’s no part of us, it’s a shop independent for who want it) Time on the island is approximately 3 hours, and we gave them that. In the natural pool 45 minutes. Speed boat is part of the attraction of the El Splash water, that what mean speed boat. The entire Saona excursion uses a support vehicle to pick up the clients and take them to the base to leave in a single bus, otherwise the pick-up would last 4 hours, and on the way back we stop at the base and to distribute the clients in different bus, otherwise it will arrive at the last hotel at 11 at night. Certainly, the pick-up time was at 07:30am and the bus picked you up 25 minutes later, for which we personally apologized to you via telephone. We are very sorry for your comment; however, we believe that it is different from all the clients who participated in the tour that day. All the guest that participate on the tour were happy with the service, because we give them exactly what is in the tour description.
Everything can be summed up in a single word: EXCELLENCE. environment during Super pleasant trip, the entertainers always attentive. Not to mention the island. It is paradise on earth.

The entire excursion is very well organized, I think that what starts well, ends well. Starting with the transfer from the hotel to Bayahibe beach in comfortable buses and a very experienced guide and then taking a fast boat to take us to Saona Island, but not before making a stop at a sandbank, like a natural pool where we spent A very pleasant moment with drinks and entertainment and then continue our journey. Once on Saona Island, everything is fun and fectilife without forgetting the delicious Dominican BBQ and pasta in lobster sauce. The Island is simply beautiful, white sand, crystal clear water, a scenery that takes your breath away. But my heart caught fire when we returned sailing the entire coast facing the sun aboard the incredible catamaran. A family activity that I will never forget. It is worth enjoying the service and natural resources that this activity offers!!

The views and experience are recommended. No waste! I would do it again and I would take my friends and some of my absent relatives on this trip, I know it will be memorable, as much as for those of us who have already done it.

Took over an hr to pick others up. Then waited because they weren't outside. Took 1.5 hrs to get to the dock for the boat then 1.5 hr more on a boat. Only stayed at the beach for 2 hrs max. Then on a boat again for 30 minutes then another 1.5 hr plus trip home. Looooong day. No snacks. It was eh.

Certainly saona island is located in Bayahibe how we splaind at the descripcion and have including lunch at the island, no snack on the way. and its a tour with one way on catamaran and one way on speedboat.
The start of the day was dreadful: 1) When the tour guide asked everyone from which country you came, I was greeted as a German with the question whether I came from the Hitler family. - A bad joke in the morning... 2) On the bus outbound to the boat landing stage, an uninvited break was taken to the toilet, which lasted 20 minutes. It all happened in front of a lonely shop with unsightly parking. No one was forced to buy... The rest of the day: 3) The boat trip on a speedboat was good. Especially the stop at a sandbar was excellent for photo shooting. 4) The beach of the island of Saona is worth seeing and invites you to take pictures. The stay there was about 3 hours. 5) Lunch was pure mass handling and just bad. Paper plates and plastic cutlery completed this impression. 6) The return journey on the catamaran was more than unpleasant. Drizzling music over 2 hours, jeers from drunken guests and sometimes obscene presentations from dancing guests were the conclusion. 7) It was also unpleasant that we were asked for tips more often.... Conclusion: 2 points is generously rated!
