Itinerario
7:00: Meet & Greet dal nostro autista presso l'Hotel Lobby e guidato verso l'isola di Orang Utan a Bukit Merah attraverso l'autostrada nord-sud.
Passa accanto Splendido scenario di foresta pluviale, catena montuosa, piantagione di parmigiana, piantagione di gomma e il paesaggio. Sosta nell'area di sosta.
Ipoh è una città nel nord-ovest della Malesia. Percorriamo semplicemente l'autostrada attraverso le tante belle colline di pietra calcarea.
Il Tunnel Menora è un tunnel autostradale a Perak. È un tunnel di 800 metri sulla North-South Expressway Northern Route. Il tunnel di Menora è stato aperto ufficialmente nel 1986. Ci sono due tunnel affiancati per ogni direzione ed è stato perforato attraverso la collina.
Il fiume Perak è il secondo fiume più lungo della Malesia peninsulare.
Bukit Merah Orang Utan Island gestisce un asilo nido e un centro di ricerca per oranghi oltre alla struttura di riabilitazione. Orang Utan Island, un centro di riabilitazione e conservazione di 2 ettari dove gli Orang Utan vagano liberamente. Un giro in barca di 20 minuti ti porterà all'isola che funge da santuario di allevamento e centro di conservazione, ricerca e istruzione per una migliore comprensione di questa specie in via di estinzione. All'arrivo, sali a bordo della barca diretta all'isola di Orang Utan. Scendi a terra e stupisci te stesso con il "Popolo della giungla" o Orang Utan, una specie in via di estinzione. Scientificamente identificati come animali molto intelligenti, gli Orang Utan hanno uno degli intervalli di nascita più lunghi, in media, una volta ogni 8 anni. Goditi l'ora e mezza in questo santuario dedicato alla riabilitazione. Cattura molte foto per il tuo ricordo. Ritorna al molo sulla terraferma.
Fate una piacevole passeggiata e ammirate il bellissimo paesaggio di Taiping Lake Garden. Se il tour ha tempo, l'autista ti porterà qui; in caso contrario, tornerai direttamente a Kuala Lumpur. Questo sarà organizzato dal conducente.»

What an experience if it happened. We have had emails and messages right up to last night saying be at collection point at 6.50am for 7am start. Also email stated could be up to 45 mins late due to traffic. Which I do understand and was happy with but when it hit 8am I was starting to get annoyed. Called both numbers on the confirmation numerous times with what's app and just by my mobile but no answer. Sent a message with no answer. So had to go directly to viator who were great said I'd get a call from tour operator within 5 mins. It's now 8:15am and I got a message finally. Im so upset and angry as this was for our wedding anniversary and I was so looking forward to the trip. I got asked if I could reschedule but I couldn't due to other commitments. Up to the point I got told a driver was off sick there was nothing at all. By that time I was so disheartened and my special day ruined. Asked for a refund. Would have given 0 stars until the person actually messaged me and offered to reschule even though it wasn't suitable. 😞 went to the pub instead to watch Mexico England.

I’ve visited 68 countries and the majority of my travels is wildlife inspired. This while they do good work was not what I was expecting. It’s a posh zoo! In fact it’s not even posh! - I felt the time on the island didn’t reflect the price paid and the amount of travelling included. My driver was a very nice guy and hats off to him, he was also tired as it was a long day for him.

It was such a great experience. Although the road trip was long, it was well worth it. Our driver/guide was great as he stayed with us the entire time. Communicates well and is very helpful. He came on time and we didn’t have to worry about anything on this trip.

The day was wonderful. Our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. He arranged everything for a smooth day that certainly felt like VIP treatment. Lunch was great. Everything being all 8nclusive is so helpful as you don't really have to think about anything. I liked that I could pre-book and pay so nothing to think about on the day besides making memories. Excellent trip. Rehabilitation of injured orang utans. Guides were wonderful attracting them towards us with food. A long drive from KL but we'll worth it.

We had the most fabulous day but we're very lucky in that we had a private car to ourselves then it was just us and a family with 2 small children on the orangutan island tour and the children got bored and hot quickly so they ducked out leaving us with a private tour! Because there were only two of us the guides opened the outer cage area so we were within a few cm's of the orangutans. Amazing, unforgettable experience and got great photos. It did take 4 hours to get there, worth it for us but had we been in a larger group on a bus that long, then not been able to get as close as we did to the orangutans then I can see why some people don't think it's worth the journey. Our driver was a mine of information and we learned so much about life in Malaysia, the temple stop on the way home was good, broke up the journey. I would question why this trip only runs from Kuala Lumpur when it's so close to Georgetown (where we're heading next)??

Learned a great deal about Urangutans, good driver, excellent visit to Perak Cave Temple abd lovely lunch.
We travel a lot. We tour a lot. This was the worst ever. The car was smelly, the guide, apparently provided as a bonus, kept falling asleep and the driver didn’t know where to go. Our guide didn’t talk much because, according to the operator, he thought it might irritate us! He took us an hour out of our way to a restaurant that was closed for a lunch that wasn’t included. We missed the boat to the island and had to wait over an hour for the next one. All this is documented. The operator offered us a 50% refund, then retracted and said that was meant for someone else. You have to wonder how many tours they screw up.
My low rating is because of a 3 hour drive from KL to the island and a 6 hour return trip with a reckless driver doing between 140 and 150 kmph at times. All this for 2 hours on the island which did not live up to advertising or expectations.
We had a great day. We had a driver to ourselves in a car which probably made it better as 3 hours on a bus would have been a hard ask. The driver was kind, informative and careful, which also made the journey relaxing. We got to the Orang Utan island park and took a boat ride accross the lake, we were in. The San teary was really good and informative staff showed us around for about an hour. This was enough, unfortunately as they are wild, there is no contact, but just being close was enough and made the journey there and back worth while.
