Great way to learn all about the Panama canal and Panama City. Wear gym shoes, light weight clothing and sunglasses. There are upcharges for the canal so bring cash or card. All worth it!
Unable to go on tour. Got called to leave earlier only to find out that pickup was not an option at Crown Plaza Airport Hotel. Asked to get dab to another place. Made arrangements at hotel I was in for a cheaper price. Mind you, I was further away.
Hi Mr. Timothy! Let me explain how the things really happened please! We called you in order to start earlier and leave the traffic in the city away from us on the way back: totally true!! When the guide called you because he was 5 minutes earlier at the hotel that you typed in your booking, you told him that you were in another location, Crown Plaza, but, not in the city; you where at the airport. When you are booking there is info about pick ups locations and clearly it states that, even that we can do it, we do not offer pick ups at the airport are unless you ask for it and there is an additional fee. We asked you to meet us in the city cause the tour was about to start and there were others waiting for us, you refused to do it! We did not do your booking, you made a mistake at the moment of typing your hotel location cause you did not read properly the address that is clearly shown by the booking system. Sorry that you were not able to attend to our great tour, but, it was not our fault. Thanks Tony
The tour guild is very knowledgeable. He told us the history of Panama Canal. He told us the history of Panama City.
We had an outstanding half-day tour of the Panama Canal and Panama City. Our tour guide was absolutely amazing—friendly, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable about Panama's history, culture, and landmarks. The tour was well organized and provided a fascinating look at both the engineering marvel of the Panama Canal and the highlights of beautiful Panama City. We learned so much and truly appreciated the guide's thorough knowledge and passion for sharing information about the country. This was one of the highlights of our trip, and we highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Panama!
I was picked up by Roland, in his big Panama hat, sharp at the time decided. Weather didn’t seem to be on our side. By the time we were approaching the canal, it was pouring so heavily that we could hardly see the road. Roland though was confident, having known his country so much better than we do, that the rain won’t last. He drove slowly , showed us everything on the way , stopped the car so we could still take pictures from the car itself , explained the history of the various areas we visited. And true to his word, the rain stopped! Had a wonderful Panama Canal experience. The tour didn’t seem rushed. He had the tickets purchased before hand and thank god for that because there were two busses who arrived and there was a huge line for tickets! He made us skip all of that and straight to the viewing point. I think the tour lasted behind the stipulated time coz of the rain but not once did he complain. All in all, had a lovely time and he promptly dropped us all back too
Guide very informative. Enjoyed the canal information, and watched a freighter go through. Traffic was bad, but liked Casco Viejo or old town.
Thanks so much for the review! I'm glad your guide kept things informative and that you got to see a freighter make its way through—it really is an unforgettable sight. Even though that Panama traffic tried to slow us down, I'm thrilled you still thoroughly enjoyed exploring the charm of Casco Viejo! Thank you so much for choosing us, and we look forward to hosting you again! Best, Tony
Great to see the vessels come in and out watching the water line drop and rise. Panama Canal a marvel engineering achievement!
Thanks so much for the review! It really is an incredible engineering marvel, and there’s nothing quite like watching those massive ships rise and drop right before your eyes as the water moves. It’s a sight you never forget! We're so grateful for your trust in us and can't wait to welcome you back next time! Best, Tony
This was an amazing tour. Ronald was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. He told us the best place to take pictures and the canal tour itself was great and walking through Casco Viejo to the main plazas. We enjoyed and would highly recommend.
Thanks so much for the amazing review and the high recommendation! Ronald is awesome at making sure you don't just get the history, but also the absolute best photo spots along the way. I'm thrilled you loved the Canal experience and enjoyed walking through the main plazas of Casco Viejo! We're so grateful for your trust in us and can't wait to welcome you back next time! Best, Tony

This is a great introduction to the Panama Canal and some city highlights. Dimos was our guide and he knew exactly how to get us the best Panama Canal experience. We were first in line, first on the observation deck, and he even had an app tracking ships to make sure we'd see one coming through and we did! I truly appreciate his knowledge and hustle in getting us to the right spot at the right time. He shared lots about Panama history, what it's like living there and more while we were driving and was open to questions. We drove by and made some smaller stops before ending in Casco Viejo for a walking tour. Would highly recommend this tour and Dimos for the Canal and a Panama City introduction. I will add, we took the tour on a Sunday and I'm so glad we did because we experienced no traffic in the areas and we were able to slow down as we drove by certain spots. Something to consider!
Thanks so much for the fantastic review and the highly recommended shoutout for Dimos! He really does have that hustle down to a science—using the ship-tracking apps and getting you first in line on that observation deck is classic Dimos. I'm thrilled you got to see a ship come through and enjoyed all the history and local insight along the way. That is also a killer tip about booking on a Sunday; beating the Panama traffic makes the whole cruising and walking experience so much better! We're so grateful for your trust in us and can't wait to welcome you back next time! Best, Tony
