In questo tour di 9-10 ore visita il Lago Sevan, perla di questo paese montuoso e uno dei più grandi laghi d'acqua dolce d'alta quota dell'Eurasia. Visiterai anche Sevanavank, un complesso monastico sulla penisola di Sevan. Attualmente qui funziona un seminario religioso, che non è facilmente aperto al pubblico, la penisola può essere chiamata proprio il punto da cui si vede tutta la bellezza del Lago Sevan. Avrai poi una breve sosta nella città di Dilijan, altrimenti denominata "Svizzera armena" per le sue fantastiche foreste naturali. La città fa parte del Parco Nazionale di Dilijan. La tappa successiva è Haghartsin, un monastero del X secolo che è stato recentemente rinnovato grazie alla donazione dello sceicco Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qassimi, il sovrano di Sharjah, che rimase colpito dal monastero quando lo visitò. Goshavank è l'ultima tappa circondata da territori verdi.

Il fascino e la "perla" dell'Armenia montuosa è il lago Sevan, che è uno dei più grandi laghi d'acqua dolce d'alta quota del mondo. Si trova a circa 1900 m sul livello del mare. Il lago è di origine vulcanica ed è circondato da montagne di 3000 m e più. Il bellissimo paesaggio e l'acqua cristallina servono bei presupposti per un riposo eccellente. Il lago è anche famoso per la sua penisola e il complesso di chiese medievali, costruito nel 874.
Una scena meravigliosa si apre nella parte nord-occidentale del lago Sevan, dove la penisola domina la superficie trasparente del lago. Il monastero di Sevanavank fu costruito sulla penisola nell'874 per ordine della figlia del re Ashot Bagratuni - la principessa Mariam. La sagoma delle chiese sullo sfondo del lago turchese e del cielo blu getta Impression inspiegabili sui visitatori.
Goshavank è stata fondata dal famoso scienziato medievale, fabulista Mkhitar Gosh. Il complesso è costituito da diversi edifici religiosi e laici. L'impareggiabile khachkar, posto di fronte alla basilica a una navata, fu creato dall'abile maestro Poghos nel 1291. Goshavank era uno dei centri religiosi e culturali più famosi dell'Armenia medievale.
Il monastero di Haghartsin, situato nei boschi della regione di Tavush, rappresenta un esempio indescrivibile di fusione tra natura e architettura. Fu fondata nel X - XI secolo, anche se nuovi edifici furono aggiunti nel XII - XIII secolo. Ora è costituito da San Grigore, Sant'Astvatsatsin (Santa Madre di Dio), chiese di Santo Stefano e alcuni altri edifici. Il refettorio, per la sua sapiente composizione architettonica, è di grande interesse. Nei pressi di Haghartsin cresceva un'enorme quercia, quasi all'età del monastero, completando l'intera scena. Purtroppo, solo una piccola parte della cava è rimasta fino ai giorni nostri, tuttavia, è ancora di grande interesse tra i visitatori, e conserva la tradizione, secondo la quale, quando si esprime un desiderio e allo stesso tempo riesce a passare attraverso l'albero (cavo), ci si aspetta che si avveri nel prossimo futuro.

A long tour outside the city starting from Yerevan, visiting several monasteries and towns in an environment different from other regions of Armenia. Recommended in summer for the cooler climate found in these areas.

The tour may have been much better suited for Russian speakers. Combining Russian and English in the same tour was not a good decision. Typically, the guide would spend about 10 minutes speaking in Russian and only 2–3 minutes in English, making English-speaking guests feel like an afterthought. Some of the main issues we experienced were: - Instructions and meeting points were often unclear. - We were traveling with a senior and a child, so we naturally moved more slowly and were frequently at the back of the group. - The guide rarely waited for the entire group to gather or ensured that everyone had heard the directions. - At one stop, we lost the group completely, which was stressful. - The guide did not seem mindful of the different needs of guests. - Several other English-speaking participants were also visibly frustrated by the confusion and lack of communication. - At most stops, the Russian explanation took up about three-quarters of the time, leaving English speakers waiting around aimlessly until the guide returned to give a very brief explanation before everyone had to rush back to the bus. The lunch was mediocre at best. In addition: - It was not clearly explained that the cake was an extra charge. - We were traveling with a child, and none of the food options were suitable for her. - When we chose not to order food for her, the guide seemed offended, which made the experience even more uncomfortable. Overall, this was not a pleasant experience. I would not recommend this tour to English-speaking travelers, especially families with children or seniors.
Thanks to our guide Aik and our driver Aro for this good tour. I really like, how Aik told about Armenia history and about places. Lake Sevan is astonishing and road to Dilijan with monasteries are beautiful. For me also been interested to hear Armenian history. It’s really old country. I highly recommend this tour!
