Khor Virap è il più famoso sito di pellegrinaggio in Armenia, in quanto è direttamente collegato con l'adozione del cristianesimo. Come religione di stato, il cristianesimo in Armenia fu adottato nel 301 grazie agli sforzi di San Gregorio L'Illuminatore, che, prima di convertire il re Trdat III al cristianesimo, fu imprigionato nelle segrete, sulle quali fu costruita una chiesa del monastero di Khor Virap nel XVII secolo. Dal monastero si può ammirare la vista mozzafiato del Monte Ararat biblico.
Superando una stradina, circondata da rocce di cento grotte, si scopre una scena di armonia dell’architettura con la natura. Il monastero, custodito con raffinate soluzioni architettoniche e lussuosi abbellimenti, è uno dei più brillanti esempi di architettura armena del XIII secolo. Noravank è costituita da chiese di San Karapet, San Gregorio Illuminatore e Sant'Astvatsatsin (Santa Madre di Dio) a due piani, che si distingue per la sua opera costruttiva e scultorea ideale.
Vayots Dzor e Areni villaggio in particolare è stata la culla della vinificazione armena per millenni. La fabbrica di vino "Hin Areni" apre le porte di questa regione al mondo per mostrare i vitigni armeni storici e autoctoni. In cantina le tradizioni storiche della vinificazione ben si sposano con attrezzature moderne all'avanguardia. L'azienda vinicola "Hin Areni" ha la capacità di lavorare oltre 250 tonnellate di uva.
A seguito di studi, nella grotta sono stati trovati coltelli di metallo, semi di frutta, residui di grano, corde, piatti, indumenti, uva secca e prugne, datati 4200-3500 a.C. La scarpa in pelle più antica del mondo è stata trovata proprio qui. Ha più di 5500 anni. Inoltre, nella stessa zona, sono state ritrovate le gonne da donna più antiche del mondo (3900 a.C.), nonché la prima azienda vinicola al mondo.

I truly enjoyed my tour with Arayig and Marina. They both delivered everything and more. The shuttle bus was very comfortable with Arayig and Marina did a great job explaining the different areas visited. Thank you both for a memorable time with my family 🙏💕

Had a wonderful group tour with our tour driver Arayig and guide Marina. Everything was timed perfectly and flowed flawlessly from one destination to the next. Highly recommend!
Old van and no air conditioning when it is 33 degrees, it is an oven, the wine tour was very poor, the scenery, the monastery, and the church are divine, the food is also good.... But the guide lacks charisma and attitude to lead a tour, he is unfriendly and speaks with a slur, making it hard to understand him, the trip without air conditioning has been terrible. We did not like the guide's service.
The tour was interesting. Guide Ike was telling a wonderful story. The program is full. Driver Karen was doing a great job with the mountain serpentine. I really enjoyed the experience.
I loved the tour. Check out without delay. Guide Ike and Karen's driver are secretive people. The driving is neat. Ike talked interestingly about the sights. It was clear. Lunch is delicious and hearty. The filling of the tour itself was also interesting and comfortable. Anyway, I advise you all.

Wine tasting classic plus exclusive succeeded! My bus and desk neighbour Alexander loved it, too. We even found the best red 🍷 for the tasting.
