Overall good experience, not worth the money spent though. Pro: guide was great, kept a good easy pace, people were kind, done through VIP tours. They have plug to charge phone at hut. Con: location they put could be clearer, Google maps brought us to other side of where the bus was. Stand outside of the 7-11. The 2 lunches promised were not given. When I reached out to viator I never got a response. Sleeping in the hut was not separated with men and women, you are separated from the next person with a shower curtain. Bring ear plugs but still not sure if you'll get good sleep with the snoring. Beds/floor not comfortable so bring a pad if you can or just know sleep won't be good. You pay for bathrooms at each hut so just know that as you climb. You only pay once at the hut you sleep at if you can hold it that long. When you first arrive they point you to a shop for everything, bathrooms cost money there but free if you take the stairs down on the left of the shops at 5th station. Food on the mtn was okay, bring lots of snack unless you want to pay higher prices on top. I paid $100 more for last minute booking and thought I'd have more food. Onsen was cool, if you dont know about them you go naked and caught a couple people off guard. Men and women separated for that. Food overall breakfast and dinner was okay, it was to be expected.
Thank you for joining us. We regret to hear that the facilities did not meet your expectations for comfort. We understand that seeking comfort in a mountain hut can be challenging. Regarding meals, we do not charge any additional fees. Meal vouchers were included, so please confirm with your guide for clarification. The 100-yen toilet fee is a donation for environmental protection, as water is scarce in the mountains. It is entirely at your discretion. We appreciate your understanding of mountain climbing. In return, you can enjoy breathtaking views. Thank you.
