Eric made my three days near Zhangjiajie the highlight of my trip to China. The natural beauty of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and Tianmen Mountain is beyond words. He even brought a drone to capture incredible footage and photos for me. Having grown up in the area, Eric knows the local history, culture, and traditions inside and out. His English is at a native level, so communication was effortless throughout the trip. He arranged all transportation and tickets. We sampled a wide variety of local food, from authentic hot pot and handmade dumplings to tea grown on the surrounding mountains. Despite how popular Zhangjiajie has become, Eric planned each day efficiently and took me to several hidden spots where we had the trails almost entirely to ourselves. My first night was spent in Furong Ancient Town, where the beautiful waterfall flows through the centre of the village. Walking the winding market streets and having dinner beside the illuminated town was unforgettable. The next day we explored Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, walking along the Golden Whip Stream, riding the famous Bailong Elevator, and descending an old mountain trail with almost no other tourists. On my final day we visited Tianmen Cave, one of the world’s largest natural caves, and climbed the famous 999 steps to Tianmen Mountain. After the trip, Eric edited together his drone footage into a beautiful travel video. Doing this trip independently would have been incredibly challenging without knowing the language or the local area. I can’t thank Eric enough for his kindness, knowledge, and genuine enthusiasm for sharing his home. I would recommend him to anyone visiting Zhangjiajie.

Daniel was our tour guide for a 6 day, 5 night tour of Zhangjiajie, Furong and Fenghuang. The secret spots he knew were truly hidden and special - we were able to enjoy the amazing sights of Zhangjiajie without the crowds. He also took us to the beautiful Sitting Dragon Gorge, which was a fantastic tour experience. Daniel went out of his way to make us feel as comfortable as possible. Since we were interested in Chinese painting, he also organized two special programs for us related to this, which made the trip even more memorable. He had interesting stories about each site and answered all our questions with enthusiasm. He also paid special attention to the older members of our group, so they could enjoy the trip in complete comfort and safety. Daniel's expertise, attentiveness and enthusiasm made this experience truly special for us.

Eric went above and beyond to lead our family in a private 5 day trip to Zhang Jia Jie and Phoenix Town. Each day was packed full with amazing activities and sightseeing, and he was very patient with all of us, especially since there were older ppl in the group. What I loved about Eric was that he was very knowledgable about all the places we visited, and we felt really comfortable asking him any questions. He took special care of my dad who couldn't walk as much, and made sure we got VIP tickets so he didn't have to wait in line. His food recommendations were also on point, and we enjoyed some delicious local spicy food!! I would definitely recommend Erick to anyone looking for an amazing tour guide who will listen to your needs, take you to the best places, and all the lesser knowns places as well that are not as touristy!! Such a memorable family trip that we will always cherish.

The views are amazing, the guide Eric is funny, knowledgeable and agile in thinking. Eric is also a wonderful singer, belting out his 山歌 melodiously. He also walk through the entire routes together with us, providing us explanations of the history and story behind the different sceneries. He is a good photographer too, helping us to take many nice, unique photos which is at instagrammable levels.

It was a memorable trip for my family and I. Nice scenery and breathtaking views!! Itinerary was well planned by Eric. He's very experienced and was able to share alot of details on places we visited.. Quite a bit of walking to get up the mountains but it's worth the effort! Overall a great experience with our friendly and outgoing guide. Highly recommend!!

Booked Eric for a full day tour. He took us around Fenghuang and Furong, sharing his deep knowledge about the culture and towns. He knew all of the vantage points for photos and took amazing photos if my partner and I.
