I had a wonderful experience on the one-day tour from Montreal to Quebec City, thanks to our guide Ann. She was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and well-organized throughout the entire trip. Ann shared interesting history and local insights that made each stop more meaningful, and she managed the schedule perfectly without making us feel rushed. Her energy and professionalism really made the day enjoyable, and she was always attentive to the group’s needs. Avoid the Tour Company’s Upcharges

The trip is good value, if you avoid the fees on the bus. About an hour into our drive, the guide began collecting fees for entry to the Falls, Cable Car rides, an Observatory in QC, and a “Service Charge” of $8/$7. Some passengers were confused and didn’t want to do the extras, I didn’t want to pay the tour company’s prices for the kids, and there was a good bit of pressure to buy the full package. The guide was telling people that they would be left far behind the group and there was no place for them to wait (untrue, those who didn’t wish to join waited without issues outside the entrance looking out at the Falls), that they could not wait inside the bus, and that this is an expected part of the tour since it’s not just “a bus shuttle to Quebec City.” She kept reiterating that she would check with her boss, but that this has never happened to her before (no passengers had elected to not pay the up charge). Here’s the other thing: she asked for nearly $50 per passenger, in cash. $26 for entry to the Falls + Cable Car, $15 for Observation Deck in QC (feel free to skip), and $8 for a “service charge.” The price was the same for kids of any age, except the entrance would be deduced to $17.50. It’s worth noting that all of these charges at the location are FREE for children under 6 and heavily reduced ($7) for kids under 18. For those of us with kids, paying at the entry made the most sense. Otherwise, the bus was in good condition, comfortable, and timing worked well.

It's worth it as a round trip ticket.

Guide Eva texted me at 5pm the day before departure to confirm it, which was still responsible. My VIA was scheduled to arrive in Montreal at 8 p.m., but was delayed until midnight. So I noticed something was wrong at 22:00 p.m., and sent her a message in the car saying that it would be too late for me to get to my departure point early the next morning, if I could just set off for Quebec on my own, pick me up on the return trip, which she also happily agreed to and sent me the assembly address on the return trip. I thought she wouldn't even read the news at 22pm, so I was grateful to her. And the tip9$ for guides and drivers, in a sense, is mandatory. But I appreciate Eva's prompt response and help, so I paid.

A great day well organised and guided.

Wonderful day. Wonderful guide and driver. Only slight negative was the cost and time taken with the optional visit to the observatoire at Quebec city.

One day Quebec City Tour from Montreal

Our one-day Québec City and Montmorency Falls tour with Wonder Travels exceeded our expectations! Everything was well organized, and we had enough time to enjoy each stop without feeling rushed. Our guide, Eva, was exceptional. She was warm, professional, and always willing to help. She even called us when we were running a little late, which we really appreciated. Throughout the journey, she shared interesting historical stories and fun facts about Québec City, making the drive just as enjoyable as the destinations. Her restaurant recommendations were also excellent! The highlights of the day included the stunning Montmorency Falls, the breathtaking panoramic views from the observatory, and strolling through the charming streets of Old Québec before visiting the magnificent Château Frontenac. We had a wonderful experience from start to finish and would definitely recommend Wonder Travels—especially if you get Eva as your guide!
