Confortable and well organized
The tour started 45 minutes late because apparently the bus was in the garage and needed some maintenance. It was an uneventful long drive to Quebec City to pick up the guide. She was with us for about an hour and a half talking in French and English, which I did not particularly care for the switching back-and-forth. We barely had half an hour to see the Falls, which were not that impressive, especially in August. Then we drove a little bit around Quebec as she pointed out some sights and gave her commentary. It was very hurried because it felt like we were making up for the lost time as a result of the bus being late. We were dropped off and had exactly 2 hours and 45 minutes to explore Quebec City on our own. Because the bus was delayed in the morning, we opted out of our 15 minute rest stop and just drove straight four hours without getting off the bus. I was not impressed with how they ran this tour and I cannot in good faith recommend it to anyone. Take the train and explore beautiful Quebec City on your own!
The BAD- The driver informed us that he has been in the company for 30 years. He then explained further that we would be with him for 10 hours in the tour so he expects a 15 percent tip. He said that this is the normal gratuity in Quebec and his expectation was to receive this! He had the audacity to show us how to calculate it by looking at the receipt that we paid for the tour and his expected tip is equivalent to the taxes in our receipt! He further stressed that the guide who will meet us in Quebec City will ONLY be with us for 2 hours and we should not forget the 10 hours we will be with him compared to the 2 hours with the guide when calculating his tip. He curses when asked simple questions! Why not just answer it nicely? He is not an asset to the company. Everyone was talking about how unprofessional he was. It is time for him to retire or be retrained. THE GOOD- Karin the guide in Quebec City was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable, high energy and respectful. The tour was provided by COACH CANADA. I would still recommend for anyone to go see Quebec City because it is a very beautiful place and the guide in the city was fantastic. However, if it is the same driver with the same sour and unprofessional attitude who is more interested in talking about his TIP that is there, write a review in COACH CANADA site and don't give him any TIP!
Very nice and attractive. City and main attraction are historical and amazing. It was interesting to see than.
Good experience with a very pleasant guide, we were able to discover the beautiful city. However, the only negative points would be the time lost at check-in at the start where we were not notified, and the visit to the falls was a bit quick where we didn't have time to fully enjoy it. I recommend this experience.
Magnificent. It was a good visit. The translation is very good and the organization is very good. Thank you for your availability.
It was an interesting and fun tour. We got to see some nice sites and learned some history about Quebec and about Canada. The bus was nice and clean.
I really enjoyed my tour of Quebec City and felt it was very well planned overall. The itinerary was interesting, the day was organized, and I appreciated the opportunity to see so many beautiful and historic parts of the city. There were two issues that kept this from being a full 5-star experience. First, a second bus broke down, and our bus driver spent about 30 minutes trying to assist them. While I understand these things happen, it did reduce the amount of time we had at one of the locations. More importantly, I had signed up for an English-language tour. At the start, the bus driver confirmed with the group that English was acceptable. However, once we picked up the local tour guide in town, she explained that there were a couple of French-speaking guests onboard and would therefore conduct the tour in both English and French. Because everything had to be repeated in two languages, it felt like we received only about half of the information and commentary we otherwise would have received. Overall, I still enjoyed the tour and thought it was worthwhile, but I would recommend that the tour operator keep English-language tours in English as advertised, or clearly communicate in advance when a tour will be bilingual.
Our group of 8 booked the "Quebec City and Montmorency Falls Day Trip from Montreal" expecting a premium 13-hour experience. Instead, our entire party was left deeply upset and ripped off. Here is exactly why you should stay far away from this tour: Delays and Chaos: The tour was scheduled for Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 8:00 AM. There was massive confusion with the vehicles; the first bus arrived with an "issue," and the next bus repeatedly backed up, waited, and pulled over due to unexplained problems. By the time we finally boarded and left, we were over an hour late, cutting our 13-hour day down to 11.5 hours. Terrifying and Unsafe Driving: The driver was highly reckless. He ran a red light during the trip. On two separate occasions at busy intersections, he made turns so poorly that he almost crashed into oncoming cars waiting at the lights. Both times, those drivers had to quickly put their cars in reverse and back up to avoid being slammed into by our bus. Hostile and Threatening Demeanour: The moment we pulled away, the driver aggressively announced on the loudspeaker that a 15% gratuity was expected. He then threatened us, stating that if anyone was a minute late returning to the bus, he would leave them behind—even bragging that he had abandoned tourists the previous week. Skipped & Faked Itinerary Items: The Plains of Abraham was completely skipped. Worse, the Montmorency Falls admission—which we paid for—was a total scam. Instead of a proper visit, the driver parked at the bottom of the falls, ordered us out for a "quick picture from below," and rushed us right back onto the bus. It was more like a washroom break than anything else. Dangerous Pick-up & Bullying: At the end of the day, the driver did not show up at the pick-up spot he had repeatedly pointed out. Instead, he stopped across a heavy-traffic road. When my husband noted it was the wrong side, the driver explicitly threatened to leave him stranded on the street. Shameless Begging: On the drive back, the driver spent ages on the loudspeaker begging for tips. He complained about waking up early, getting home late, and demanded "appreciation" despite providing abysmal service. Final Verdict: There is a shorter tour available for $64 with an identical itinerary to what we actually received. I strongly suspect this company downgraded us to the cheaper tour while pocketing our premium payment, all while forcing us to endure an unsafe, rude driver. We will write an official complaint to Viator and expect a credit back for this absolute disaster.
We dont like the driver..he keeps calling for money to give him..all the way going and coming back.. every now and then reminding every body to prepare to give him money..if you dont have tell me to stop you to withdraw money !!!!. Its standard if they want to give you tips they will..ne need to remind every hour the whole way !! Also he does not want any body to set in front and not to talk keep silent for 4 hours going and 4 back !!!!!. And he stops both ways in same old station..very old..very very bad smell station.. Time for the falls is very very short only 30 mnts...not enough even to get dwon from bus and go to toilet or have coffee !!!?? We need to go around and up the falls and try the zipline !! We couldnot
