Iniziate la vostra avventura esplorando l'imponente Santuario di Nuestra Señora de los Remedios, lo storico Convento di San Gabriel Arcángel e la maestosa Grande Piramide di Cholula, la più grande fondazione piramidale del mondo. Godetevi un po' di tempo libero a Place de la Concorde, dove potrete gustare la cucina locale, scattare foto e portare a casa souvenir unici. Immergetevi poi nel fascino colorato di Atlixco, dove potrete acquistare piante e fiori freschi nei suoi vivai e visitare gli angoli più emblematici del suo Zócalo, la Parrocchia di Santa María de la Natividad, le famose Escaleras Anchas, un must per le foto instagrammabili, l'ex convento francescano e il punto panoramico in vetro.

Itinerario
Il nostro tour inizierà con una visita a Cholula, riconosciuta come Città Magica per la sua ricchezza storica e culturale. Visiteremo la Grande Piramide di Cholula, la base piramidale più grande del mondo per volume. In cima si trova il Santuario della Madonna dei Rimedi, un tempio del XVI secolo con una splendida vista sulla valle. Successivamente ci dirigeremo all'Ex Convento de San Gabriel, uno dei più antichi complessi francescani del Messico, costruito nel XVI secolo. Si distingue per la sua architettura sobria e per la sua grande cappella aperta, fondamentale per l'evangelizzazione della regione. Proseguiremo verso Plaza de la Concordia, il cuore della città, circondata dai tradizionali portici. Infine, visiteremo il Tempio di Santa María Tonantzintla, famoso per il suo interno barocco indigeno del XVII e XVIII secolo, esempio del sincretismo tra la tradizione indigena e la fede cattolica.
Ci dirigeremo verso la città magica di Atlixco, una città con radici preispaniche e di grande importanza durante l'epoca coloniale per la sua produzione agricola e tessile. Grazie al suo clima privilegiato e ai suoi coloratissimi vivai, oggi è conosciuta come "Atlixco dei fiori". La nostra prima tappa sarà il belvedere del Cerro de San Miguel, un luogo emblematico dominato dalla cappella dedicata all'Arcangelo San Michele, costruita nel XVI secolo. Questa collina era un antico centro cerimoniale e attualmente è uno dei punti più rappresentativi della città. Dalla sua cima si possono ammirare viste spettacolari e scattare fotografie incredibili, con i vulcani Popocatépetl e Iztaccíhuatl come maestoso sfondo.
Nella nostra terza e ultima tappa visiteremo l'Ex Convento del Carmen, fondato nel 1608 dai francescani ai piedi del Cerro de San Miguel. Dedicata alla Vergine del Carmen, è un punto di riferimento storico e religioso della città. Scendendo, vedremo le tradizionali Scaline Larghe, i cui gradini sono stati decorati con murales dall'artista locale Juan Manuel Martínez Caltenco, con motivi floreali che rappresentano l'identità di Atlixco. Successivamente faremo una pausa alla gelateria Ximitl per assaggiare i gelati artigianali di stagione. Proseguiremo lungo Calle de las Flores verso lo zócalo per ammirare il chiosco Atlixco, decorato con mosaici, e la parrocchia di Santa María de la Natividad, del XVII secolo, per poi concludere con i murales del Palazzo Municipale.

We were expecting a more walking tour of the cities but it was still ok going solo on our own. We booked a Spanish tour by error so we had to wing it. It’s was a few churches visit and shopping area like a Mercado mainly for the tour in both cities visited.

We had a wonderful experience on this tour. We appreciated the flexibility that Pablo showed us in taking us to visit some of the places that we requested, both in Cholula and Atlixco. The van was clean and the driver went out of his way to drop us off at home. Both destinations are a must for anyone new to the Puebla area. So much history in Cholula and Atlixco is one of the most charming Pueblo Magico cities that we've seen in Mexico This was my second trip with Bufon Tours and they are a first class company...well organized, reasonably priced, and flexible

The guide very professional, friendly and nice. The tour was scheduled for 9:00, which changed to 10:00, so we had no problem, thinking that the estimated tour time would be covered. I missed the visit to the nursery and the lunch time in Atlixco, from the visit to the nursery, told us that there was no longer time, our mistake was not to require him to take us. of the lunch time I do not even mention it, I only recommend a restaurant, in case we were interested in returning later. The tour ended at approximately 2:30.
