Il cuore di questa magica cittadina ruota attorno a un chiosco a due piani dove è possibile sedersi e gustare un caffè. In uno degli angoli della piazza principale si trova la Parrocchia di Santa María de la Natividad, la cui costruzione risale all'inizio del 1644. Il tempio si distingue per i suoi due altari in stile churrigueresco, adornati con opere del pittore poblano Luis Berrueco. Questa zona è inoltre famosa per i suoi ristoranti che offrono cucina locale e internazionale, per i suoi gelati e ghiaccioli tradizionali, nonché per la sua selezione di mezcal prodotto artigianalmente. Abbiamo visitato anche il Palazzo Municipale, con i suoi dipinti che raffigurano la storia di questa magica città. Visiteremo la via dei fiori e scopriremo i prodotti locali.
Atlixco de las Flores conta decine di asili nido installati, soprattutto nel quartiere di Cabrera, verso il vulcano Popocatépetl. Visiteremo uno di essi dove potrete ammirare le diverse varietà di piante coltivate localmente. Si trovano esemplari sia da sole che da ombra, da interno o da esterno, da vaso o da piantare su ampie superfici.
Visiteremo l'ex convento di San Francisco situato sulla collina di San Miguel. Un gioiello architettonico che vi immergerà nella storia attraverso i secoli. Saliremo fino all'accesso al Crystal Viewpoint dove avremo una spettacolare vista panoramica dei vulcani.

Atlixco is a beautiful little town. With fabulous murals, staircases and churches. Worth a trip from Puebla.

Though I enjoyed the tour, I feel it was good mostly thanks to the long ride. I was taken to several great points of interest I wouldn't have been able to go without the ride. The price is a bit high for what was provided and I had an issue with Trip Advisor instructions. The ad should have made clear that although my hotel wasn't on the list, the operator would come to my place to pick up. I didn't know and walked from my AirBnB to the Bufon and it was closed. Fortunately, the operator called me and told me to wait at the office to be picked up. I almost missed the tour thanks to this misunderstanding.
Mauricio is a wonderful guide. We walked around town, climbed the hill to the church and visited some churches. I visited just after Día de Muertos and the catrinas were still on display. It was very crowded.
Beautiful colourful little town filled with flowers. Alejandro took me all around the town including the Mirador, greenhouses that ship flowers around the world, and to several installations of “Catrina” around the town for Dias de Muertos and also core area of the downtown.
