Jebel Samhan è considerata la vetta più alta dell'Oman meridionale, con un'altezza di 2100 metri. È considerata una meta alla portata di tutti per via del suo meraviglioso panorama. Dalla cima del Jebel Samhan si possono vedere le nuvole. Inoltre, quando il tempo è sereno, si può vedere dall'alto la città di Mirbat e il Mar Arabico.
La dolina di Taiattir è considerata una delle più profonde dell'Oman, con una profondità di 210 metri. Questo buco si è formato nel tempo ed è chiamato localmente il Pozzo degli Uccelli, dove gli uccelli arrivano da tutto il mondo per deporre le uova.

Il Castello di Taqah è un affascinante monumento storico situato nella città costiera di Taqah, vicino a Salalah nel Governatorato del Dhofar in Oman. IT è una popolare attrazione turistica che offre uno sguardo sul ricco patrimonio culturale e sulla vita tradizionale omanita della regione. Costruito nel XIX secolo: a differenza di molti forti più antichi dell'Oman, il castello di Taqah è relativamente giovane, costruito nel XIX secolo durante il regno del sultano Taimur bin Faisal al Said (1913 - 1932). IT originariamente serviva come residenza privata dello sceicco Ali bin Taman Al Ma'shani, il nonno della madre del sultano Qaboos. Successivamente, IT divenne proprietà del governo e funzionò come centro amministrativo e residenza per i governatori locali. Il Ministero del Patrimonio e del Turismo ha intrapreso ampi lavori di restauro, e il castello è stato riaperto come museo nel 1994, conservando il suo design originale e mostrando la storia dell'Oman. I had a great full-day private tour of East Salalah. The itinerary was well-planned, the sights were beautiful, and my guide was knowledgeable and friendly. It was a smooth, enjoyable experience that I'd highly recommend.

Pleasant day out seeing the highlights of East Salalah with Mohammed.It was good to be able to see the countryside of Salalah particularly the long coastline of beaches and the camels crossing the road. Mohammed was kind and gentle and tried to help us to find the fish restaurant which we wanted to go to but unfortunately it had closed down.
Thank you for Mr. Muhammed has been a very good guide and accompanying us during the trip. All spots is really beautiful, Wadi Darbat is the highlight, all eastern part of Salalah is covered including Jebel Shamhan, Taqah View Point and Sinkhole, eventhough it's cloudy but it's still beautiful.
Today we had the great pleasure of traveling with Mohammed on an East Salalah tour that we booked through Tripadvisor. Everything was perfectly organized from the beginning. Mohammed is not only an extremely safe and pleasant driver, but also an incredibly warm and knowledgeable guide. On our route we saw some of the most beautiful places in the region: the impressive Jabal Samhan with its breathtaking views, the fascinating Teeq Cave and the spectacular Tawi Ateer Sinkhole. In Taqah we visited the charming Taqah Castle and enjoyed the dreamlike scenery in Wadi Darbat. Along the way, we even saw camels up close – a real highlight! What made this tour special for us was Mohammed’s deep knowledge of Omani culture and history, which he shared with us with a lot of passion and humor. We learned so much and felt welcome and comfortable at all times. Thank you, Mohammed, for this unforgettable day! This tour is an absolute must for anyone visiting Salalah.

Wow what an experience. Mohammad was always on time (even early) and so responsive to all my inquiries before the tour. He was very accommodating since I was pregnant and went out of his way to help us along the way. He knows so much about Oman and the culture and really helped us immerse in the beautiful country. He even got us water and homemade Omani sweets! 10/10 would recommend booking a tour (and airport transfer) with this company.
