We had a great short hike in Tongass National Forest and toured the Potlatch Totem park with our guide Joe and a handful of other guests. Joe was very knowledgable of the area, both of the tour sites (Tongass rainforest) and the area around Ketchikan. Joe picked us up at the cruise terminal, and although he was over 30 minutes late getting us, was not his fault and I do not ding the company at all...he was tasked with picking up people from multiple cruise ships at different terminals, and honestly that is probably worse than herding cats...but he did get everyone he was supposed to. We travelled in an older 16 passenger van, cramped but comfortable and a locally made cookie (really good!) and bottled water were provided. We would book again with Wild Wolf Tours, but opt for the longer hike.

This was an excellent experience. Jamie was a great guide. Very informative nature hike and her stories about the totems were fascinating. It’s a great way to experience Ketchikan with plenty of time for shopping before and after, if you’re on a cruise.

We had an amazing experience with Jamie! My kids said they would give 10 stars. She was very knowledgeable and super accommodating to meet our timeline. Would highly recommend! This experience was the highlight of our trip.
My family and I could not have been more pleased with our 2 hour rain forest and totem walk. Jamie was very accommodating and when we voiced concerns about missing the last shuttle from downtown not only got us on our walk 30 minutes early but also drove us back to Ward’s Cove instead of us having to catch a shuttle in downtown Ketchikan and having to fight the crowd. Jamie was interacting continuously throughout the tour with our very talkative and inquisitive 10 year old. I could not recommend this excursion more if you like hiking and outdoor activities mixed with local information and history. The entire experience was a perfect end to a perfect day in Ketchikan, Alaska! I would give it 6 stars if I could.
Our son said he would give 10 stars out of 5 if that were an option! The perfect tour for our family of 4 (two boys 10 & 13)! Jamie was our guide and we could not have been happier…we did a gorgeous, easy hike and explored/learned about local plants and history, took some great photos, heard about local animals…then we went to the totem pole park and heard about local history, stories, etc. would recommend to anyone! Jamie has extensive knowledge of the area and was absolutely amazing! Can’t recommend enough!! Guide was even able to get us a little early bc we were nervous about getting back in time…this tour made Ketchikan a highlight of our trip!
The guide was great. He was very knowledgeable, considerate, patient, and flexible. Wish the hike was a bit more of a hike vs a stroll. But nonetheless still nice.
Gabe, our guide, was so well informed and passionate about teaching us. He answered questions and taught us so much about the rainforest and the indigenous population.
