La nostra prima tappa è il magnifico Tempio di Qoricancha, conosciuto anche come il “Palazzo d’Oro”. Questo luogo sacro Inca era il centro della vita politica e religiosa, successivamente trasformato dagli spagnoli nel Convento di Santo Domingo. Il contrasto tra Inca e architettura coloniale la rende una tappa obbligata per gli amanti della storia e della fotografia.
La fortezza Inca con vista mozzafiato: Successivamente, esploreremo Sacsayhuaman, un'enorme fortezza Inca con imponenti mura di pietra e viste panoramiche di Cusco. Ammira la grandiosità di questo sito patrimonio mondiale dell'UNESCO e dei suoi impressionanti dintorni.
Un sito sacro Inca con misteriose formazioni rocciose scolpite, una camera della metropolitana e altari cerimoniali che si ritiene siano stati utilizzati per rituali e mummificazione.
Conosciuta come la “Fortezza Rossa”, questa postazione militare ha terrazze, mura e torri di guardia, costruite strategicamente per proteggere l’ingresso a Cusco.
Un imponente santuario d'acqua con acquedotti, canali e cascate di pietra finemente intagliate, ritenuto un luogo sacro per il culto dell'acqua Inca e le cerimonie di purificazione.
Arroccato su una collina che domina Cusco, il Mirador del Cristo Blanco offre una vista panoramica mozzafiato sulla città. La statua bianca di Cristo alta 8 metri è un simbolo di pace e un luogo popolare per scattare foto mozzafiato, soprattutto al tramonto.

Overall the tour was good and our guide was knowledgeable and we enjoyed all the sites we saw! One thing I didn’t know ahead of time is that the tour is both in English and Spanish - so the guide alternates describing things between the two languages. We appreciated the opportunity to learn about real vs fake alpaca from an authentic source. Bring food/snacks!

This tour was half a day (approximately 5 hours), and covered a lot of different historical sites in Cusco. Abel was the guide, very knowledgeable and attentive. He made it a great experience for everyone!

We really enjoyed this tour - a wonderful way to get to know cusco and see some Inca ruins from the surrounding area. Our guide Victor was fabulous - very informative friendly and a great photographer.
