Terrible travel conditions, I had to get off an hour after the tour started. My back which has 18 screws was hurting me because the bus didn’t have a backrest on the bench’s. I was extremely uncomfortable
Very good experience. The guide was nice and San Felipe was great. It was nice to walk through the fort and see how intricate the structure is.
This tour was extremely unorganized. One it said handicap accessible and it was 100% not. The meeting point was a mess. Told us to be at 1 point only to have us walk to another to end up back where they originally told us to meet. The people were nice enough doing the tour yet unorganized. It was a tour not a party bus yet they were blasting music instead of telling you about the city.
It was only for Spanish speaking tourist the bus made way too many stops and the bus was packed I left the tour mid way
This tour is NOT in English. The description should have indicated this at some point in the booking. However there is NO mention of the tour being only in Spanish.
Great job with the tour. I had to leave early to catch a flight but I wish I had stayed longer. The photographer was kind and the whole team was very amazing
The tour was only conducted by a Spanish tour guide. He did his best to translate to me what he was saying in Spanish, but it was a struggle. Some of the English speakers had to cut their tour short because they didn’t understand what the tour guide was saying. The tour operator should have different tours for different languages or good bilingual tour guides.
Terrible experience. Overall communication between tour company and my texts/emails very much lacking. Never received direct response to my questions. Was through Chocolate Tours. Requested English speaking tour was all Spanish. I had asked numerous times to confirm it was English speaking, never confirmed so assumed it was. Wrong! Obviously got nothing out of it. Communication regarding tour details (where to meet, timing) was terrible. Said tour started at 9 so planned to be at meeting point at 8:30, arranged driver, breakfast before only to get text via what’s app at 7 am telling us to be there at 8. Had to spend an hour back and forth to rearrange. Tour did not end up starting til 9:30. Spent 1-1/2 hr waiting then picking up people. Would not recommend.
Company confirmed trip and later unconfirmed. Did not say they would process a refund. Recommend using another company
Description of this tour specifies one meeting point. In reality it was an open bus (chiva) that was driving around for 1.5 hours picking ~50 people. The description specifies tour start at 1:30 pm. We were told to come to the meeting point at 1 pm, we were first on the bus. And then close to 2 hrs we were driving around the city collecting people. When the tour finally started, the guide was only speaking Spanish. Even though description mentioned bilingual guide and i confirmed that with the operators that tour would also be in English. After we asked the guide to please translate for us in English, he relactantly did, translating 10 min of Spanish into 2 min of English. All other people on the bus spoke Spanish, so we were minority. The guide would skip the translation until we explicitly reminded him (or other kind passengers reminded him to translate for us). We did visit the fortress, shoes monument, old city, and letters on the beach. Did not go inside the Convention center, as listed in the description. If i knew how this tour is setup, i would not have selected it.
