Loch Ness Photo Opportunity - Loch Ness è un grande lago di acqua dolce profondo nelle Highlands scozzesi, noto per presunti avvistamenti del mostro di Loch Ness criptozoologico, noto anche affettuosamente come "Nessie". Ci fermeremo per una breve passeggiata lungo le rive del lago di Loch Ness, faremo alcune foto dei fantastici paesaggi e magari cattureremo il mostro per una nuotata mattutina.
La prossima fermata è il magnifico Castello di Urquhart, sulla riva di Loch Ness, Ammirerai l'ambientazione strategica del castello, su un promontorio roccioso con vista aperta su e giù per Loch Ness mentre continui a immergerti nell'atmosfera di uno dei più famosi della Scozia laghi.
A Eilean Donan Castle, riconosciuto come una delle immagini più iconiche della Scozia in tutto il mondo. Situato su un'isola nel punto in cui si incontrano tre grandi laghi marini e circondato da uno scenario maestoso, non c'è da meravigliarsi se il castello è oggi una delle attrazioni più visitate e importanti delle Highlands scozzesi.
Oltre il mare a Skye - L'isola di Skye è collegata alla terraferma da un ponte stradale. Collegamento del villaggio continentale di Kyle di Lochalsh al villaggio di Kyleakin su Skye.
Visita il villaggio di Broadford che si trova sotto la forma materna di Ben na Calliach (la collina della vecchia). Il nome porta una riflessione interessante sulla storia politica dell'isola. Broadford originariamente proveniva dall'antico norvegese Breiðafjorðr che significa "ampia baia", ma è stato retrospettivamente tradotto in gaelico come An t-Àth Leathann, che significa "l'ampio fiume-guado". Sligachan si trova dove il Black Cuillin incontra la costa occidentale, Questo è il punto in cui venire a vedere la vista che tanto spesso grazie alle cartoline e alla trama del Cuillin Rosso e Nero con Glen Sligachan tra di loro.
Breve sosta alla Talisker Distillery, la più antica distilleria di lavoro sull'isola di Skye, situata sulle rive del Loch Harport con viste spettacolari dei Cuillins. Produrre un single malt seducente, dolce e corposo è così facile da gustare, e come lo stesso Skye, così difficile da lasciare.
Fairy Pools le spettacolari Fairy Pools si trovano vicino al villaggio di Carbost a Glenbrittle sull'isola di Skye. Glenbrittle corre approssimativamente da sud a nord lungo il fiume Brittle ed è sovrastato dalle montagne Cuillin. Molti affluenti del fiume Brittle scendono dal Cuillin nella valle, tra cui un torrente con cascate noto come Fairy Pools, un luogo popolare per gli escursionisti. Le Fairy Pools sono bellissime piscine di roccia di acqua sorgiva cristallina alimentate da una serie di cascate. I visitatori possono intraprendere la splendida passeggiata di 2,4 km dal parcheggio alle Fairy Pools attraverso il sentiero di ghiaia delimitato da erba, eriche, torba e rocce fino alla cascata più grande, o camminare più avanti sul sentiero ed esplorare alcune delle piscine più piccole che si trovano di fronte. L’acqua delle Fairy Pools è cristallina, perfetta per qualsiasi nuotatore avventuroso abbastanza coraggioso da entrare nelle acque ghiacciate. – Continua a sapere che vuoi.
Termina con una visita alla capitale dell'isola, il villaggio di Portree, situato sul lato est di Skye, affacciato su una baia riparata, è la capitale dell'isola. E ha solo circa 200 anni è stato creato come un villaggio di pescatori all'inizio del il diciannovesimo secolo dall'allora Lord MacDonald.

This was such an amazing full day trip seeing sights on the way to and from the Isle of Skye. We also saw all of the highlights on the Isle. Billy was PHENOMENAL…you could really tell he cared about our experience! Don’t hesitate..book this trip!

Billy was a great guide. We followed his suggestions rather than the set itinerary and had some nice, off the beaten path experiences. Our favorite part was the Fairy Glen. It's a long day but totally worth it.

We loved our tour through the Scottish Highlands and to Isle of Skye. Our guide Roy was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. We learned so much about Scottish history and culture. We are extremely grateful for Roy’s expertise and navigating us across some tough roads. We covered so much in one day. All of the sights were majestic. What we loved about the private tour is being able to cater to our interests, for example we wanted to see highland cows and Roy found a farm for us to visit along our route. Would definitely book again next time we visit Scotland.

He was GREAT, kept everyone on time , happy with his historical stories and a fun guide ! We for sure would tour on thr WOW bus again and again ! We had a wonderful day with Billy exploring the highlands and the beautiful Isle of Skye. The pace was perfect for our family- we all enjoyed the many stops we made along the way and were able to see so many beautiful places and enjoy ourselves with Billy at the wheel. He kindly customized the start of the tour for us and took us to a perfect local spot for lunch. The tour truly showed us the beauty of the Isle and allowed us to relax and enjoy the incredible landscapes. A fantastic day!
We have spent a huge amount of money for our private one day tour. Nearly INR 120,000 (1.2 lakhs) In the morning it was very cool when we started but soon it started to get warmer. We asked Billy, our driver, to switch on the AC but he said that the AC doesn't work as he has not "charged it" (I think he was trying to say that the AC gas needed to be filled). After spending such an amount, I mentioned to Billy that we are very disappointed that the AC was not working (by the way, the car is also an old model and we did not expect this from Viator). He stopped the car and threatened to go back if I was going to complain. He said that he will not go all the way if I am going to complain and asked us to get a refund from Viator. We had not come all the way from India and be asked to go back from mid way on our private tour to the Isle of Skye...was not an option! Somehow I kept quiet not wanting to take the risk of him leaving us mid way. I am asthmatic and cannot travel in a car with windows rolled down due to the risk of dust but there was no option here as it was very hot and the Air Conditioning was not working. Obviously, this has been very stressing for us as a Family. Billy also kept telling us (at least 2-3 times) not to go to the Fairy Pools since there is a two hour difficult walk and that it's not worth it...so we decided not to go there, following his advice. It seems like we have made a big mistake by booking through Viator! Extremely disappointing!
