The worst excursion we’ve ever done, save your money.

Our guide, Robert, started the tour with an incredibly confusing "joke," telling us that because we ate breakfast, we were in trouble because the portions were massive and the tour was six hours long. The entire group was confused, wondering if we had booked the wrong trip. Robert completely moved on without clarifying until my wife directly asked him if the tour was actually six hours. Only then did he admit it was a joke. Unfortunately, like most of his humor throughout the day, it fell completely flat and just created awkward tension. Later on, after hyping up a piece of bland bread at a bakery as "the best in the world," he put everyone on the spot by asking us to rate it from 1 to 10. Most people politely lied and said 7–10, but I was honest and gave it a 5. His demeanor and forced interactions made the experience highly uncomfortable. We had some absolutely amazing food during our time in Colombia, but nothing on this tour would even make my top 10 list. Shrimp Ceviche: It tasted incredibly slimy. Most of the group couldn't even finish their small portions because it simply wasn't good. Patacón: It was just okay, but it was ruined by a massive, overpowering chunk of extremely salty cheese. Traditional Candies: Not my cup of tea, but admittedly not bad. The Rest: The remaining stops were completely uninspired—the culinary equivalent of taking raw burger meat out of a package and throwing it on a grill. The logistics were incredibly poorly handled. While at the bakery, a fellow tour member and I both asked to use the restroom. Robert told us we couldn't use the one there, but that we could use one at a future stop. That next stop ended up being a local grocery store for an empanada sample. Robert pointed me toward the restroom, but as I came out, I was immediately accosted and told I had to pay to use it. When I asked Robert about it, he confirmed I had to pay. It is completely unacceptable that on a paid food tour, guests are denied a free restroom at one stop only to be forced to pay out-of-pocket at the next. If paying is required, the tour company should either let guests use the free facilities at the bakery, or at the very least, cover the fee for their paying customers. Robert’s poor attitude and awkward humor, combined with the low-quality food selections chosen by this company, made this street food tour the single biggest mistake of our trip to Colombia. Avoid this tour at all costs.

Fantastic!

Nando was fantastic. Best tour of our trip to Cartagena. He shared interesting history throughout the walk and made everything easy to understand. The street food stops were great. Lots of variety and felt very authentic. We left full and with a much better feel for the city.

Excellent service

I had a personal guide; her name was Yahuil( I may be spelling it wrong😅), but she was very attentive, explained the history in detailed, provided several food options from drinks to desserts, native fruits, and food. I was stuffed by the end! Incredible experience, definitely worth doing it!
