Very nice day trip at a good price. Our guide was Luis and our driver was Annie, who were both great. A lot of driving, but it is a far drive from San Jose to up the mountain. Nice bonus stops along the way, including breakfast and we saw a mama sloth in a tree with her baby! A few stops for snacks and souvenirs. The waterfall was beautiful, learned a lot about coffee making, and beautiful landscapes along the way. Unfortunately, Mother Nature didn’t let us see the volcano, just a zero visibility cloud, which was kinda cool in its own way. Overall, a good value, and a good day.
Everything went according to what was offered. Congratulations to the guides and staff. I recommend tour to everyone.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
1. Keep an eye out for rainy days, perhaps no craters in sight. We were lucky that it rained around three o'clock in the afternoon and did not delay our trip. Grab a picture when the crater is visible, and if there's a cloud, it'll be blocked for a long time. Crater - Volcano Lake - Back to the crater, that is, there are 2 opportunities to see the crater. 2. The waterfall is ok, the current is not great. 3. Coffee garden trip was okay, learned some coffee knowledge. Advice for travel agents: The itinerary is recommended to be picked up from the hotel starting at 07:00 a.m. so that everyone can eat in their own hotel and save an hour of breakfast halfway through.
Can’t say enough about Louis (our guide) and our day. As many state, it’s a long day, but it flows. So much to see and learn. It’s a wonderful experience. The variations of weather alone were incredible. Just a great day all around. Pura vida!
Amazing full day tour! We covered so many different terrains and experiences and everything was enjoyable. My heart is full from all the activities and connecting with everyone.
Excellent tour and a recommended super guide, find the most suitable time to climb and the volcano is clear
I loved taking the tour. Guide Luis explains very well and has a lot of energy. The whole experience was fun and with beautiful landscapes. The explanation of the coffee maker was very dynamic, fun and informative. We also visited the Poas volcano and the Cascade. The guide kept in touch early on by WhatsApp. The shuttle (van) was very clean and air-conditioned.
Viktor was a super nice guide and very happy to answer questions. He even took us to an extra stop (strawberry - cheese - wine - shop and tasting) after the 3 stops. I didn't understand why we first went to the coffee farm and then to the volcano because it's better to visit the volcano early so you can actually see something. We were lucky, but 10-15min after we arrived everything was cloudy and you couldn't see anything anymore. I hope they'll change it for future tours, so people can actually enjoy a good view.
This experience was super enjoyable! Absolutely beautiful waterfall! Awesome coffee tour! The volcano was completely foggy but it was beautiful in a different way than viewing the crater would’ve been
It was a great experience with our guide (Luis), the knowledge he shares and the enthusiasm he handled throughout the trip was very good, our driver Austin also, a very quiet trip, it is a tour that is totally worth it.
