Descrizione

Authentic Beijing Food Tour

We had a wonderful experience with the Lost Plate Beijing hutong dinner food tour. Our guide, Grace, was personable and attentive. She took us to the places that showcased local specialties. The food was delicious and plenty. As someone who cooks regularly, we truly enjoyed learning about the different cuisines in Beijing.

Cozy back alley food tour in Beijing

Great time and some really nice food options, particularly the Beijing style buns we had. Guide Haitao was friendly & engaging with good local knowledge. Food was all tasty & accessible, price slightly high given drink options were standard & food was all local.

Ok Grace is the real MVP!

Grace took us to secret hutong spots we’d never find by ourselves .We had Beijing hotpot, zhajiangmian noodles 🍜 that I'm still thinking about, those little meat pies that exploded juice everywhere, and courtyard dinner that felt like I was crashing someone's family gathering. Grace isn’t your typical tour guide. She shares fun food stories, no rushed schedules or tourist traps, just great local eats and chill vibes. I’m already planning to book her tour again

Food tour with Grace

5/5 Stars – Incredible evening hutong food tour with Grace! Grace is warm, attentive and incredibly knowledgeable about local Beijing cuisine. She took us off the crowded tourist routes to hidden family-run eateries deep in the hutongs, where we tried genuine classic dinner dishes you’d never find alone. Every bite was fresh and full of authentic northern Chinese flavor. She shared fascinating stories about hutong daily life and explained the culture behind each meal. The whole evening felt relaxed and personalized, no rushed stops at all. This food tour was the absolute highlight of our Beijing trip, 100% recommend booking with Grace!

Fantastic

I recently went on an amazing food tour in Beijing with Haitao as our guide, and it was an unforgettable culinary journey. Haitao surprised us by leading us to four hidden gem restaurants that we wouldn't have discovered on our own. Each venue left an impression. The hot pot at the first stop was a nice experience. The noodles at the second restaurant were unparalleled and one of the best I've tasted in China so far. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, Haitao introduced us to a restaurant where we indulged in the “door nail” beef dumplings. We finished our tour at a courtyard, havinf pancake and chicken Kung Pao with veg, followed by fried milk for dessert. Haitao's expertise shone through as he shared his in-depth knowledge of China, its rich history, and geography. His passion for the cuisine and culture was evident in every detail. He was not only accommodating of my allergies but also made sure everyone in the group was well-informed about each dish. Engaging in insightful conversations throughout the evening, Haitao made the experience not just a food tour but a cultural adventure. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment spent under his guidance. I would recommend this food tour, especially with Haitao as your guide. It's an experience that I'll remember, and one that I believe many others would greatly enjoy as well.

Great food tour

We had a great food tour with Janice. She took us to four different restraunts. The last of which we would definitely never have found ourselves as it was deep in a Hutong. We basically had four very different dinners and more beer than we could drink 😁
