Did a half day tour with Chico and it was great! He was full of knowledge and energy - and gave us great recommendations on places to go and things to see. This tour was the perfect length, especially after traveling so long the day before. Did this day on our first full day in Porto and it gave us a good baseline of what else we wanted to explore (Cathedrals and historic points)
Chico was an great guide and very knowledgeable making the experience through Porto awesome!
Santiago was great. Good information and pace.
Chico was a great guide. We had a great time.
If you’re planning to do this tour, I highly recommend booking with Chico! He was an amazing guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and so much fun with the kids. He made the experience enjoyable for everyone. And whatever you do, don’t leave without trying the Happy Coffee—it’s a must! Thank you, Chico, for such a wonderful and memorable experience. We had an incredible time exploring Porto with you!
Maria is a wonderful guide. Engaging, uplifting, informative. Highly recommend Maria.
The tour was perfect. The guide, Joao Garcia was entertaining and knoledgable. Very interesting tour. My only downside was with Viator, which I normally have no issue. I booked this tour because it was supposed to have a French audio guide and there was nothing. Other than that, it was perfect.
Pros: Chico our tour guide was very nice and provided good history/detail regarding the sites around Porto. He also did well at managing a medium/large group. Cons: Arrived early to our meet location as recommended by the company. However, our tour guide/group was not there. We asked multiple tour guides at the meet location if they were with the company but advised they were not. Messaged the company/guide through the Trip Advisor App but received no response. Eventually called and spoke with a representative from the company. The rep advised the group had arranged a different meet time from the one we received and that the tour had started earlier for the individuals who paid to see the library as part of the tour. However, this information was never received by us. The rep further advised the tour guide said they attempted to contact us via WhatsApp. The issue being we did not have WhatsApp and was never advised we needed the app for additional communication. This tells me one of two things that may have occurred. 1) The tour guide lied about attempting to contact us or OR 2) When adding a person’s telephone number into WhatsApp, it immediately states whether that individual has WhatsApp or not. So, if the tour guide added our number as stated that individual could see we did not have WhatsApp and either did not care if we receive any communication regarding the change of itinerary or was just covering their a** with the company. Either way, this could have been resolved with a phone call or a message via the Trip Advisor app or Email. Thankfully we had a flexible schedule and the tour company allowed us to participate with a later tour group. Hopefully in the future the tour company confirms that communications are actually received by the individuals who pay for a service and not just assume. Especially when it comes to people’s time and money.
The guide Chico was great and informative. We all enjoy the tour Highly recommended
