We have been visiting beautiful Albi for many years - and also doing market and wine bar tours with Taste of Toulouse since 2019. We felt that we had not really got to know the food and market aspects of Albi and were so pleased when this tour was established. We had such a lovely day with Andrea doing her first solo guided tour - with us and one other couple. Andrea lives locally and is knowledgeable and enthusiastic and very good company. We learnt a lot about the city, the excellent provendors, restaurants and cafes and had a good lunch of charcuterie, fromages and local wines at the covered market and finished with beautiful chocolates sitting in the shade in the garden of the Saint-Salvi cloister. Highly recommend.
Catherine, your loyalty (going back to 2019!!!!!) - means so much to me! I'm so glad the our newest tour finally let you experience Albi's food side, and that Andrea's first solo tour went so well (we knew it would, of course - she's fantastic!). Charcuterie and local wines at the covered market, finished with chocolates in the Saint-Salvi cloister garden, it's really the perfect afternoon. Thank you for trusting us again - hope to welcome you back to Toulouse and Albi soon. - Jessica
Fantastic Day! We thoroughly enjoyed the tour! Everyone was super nice! Guides were very knowledgeable! We saw many things we might not have seen otherwise! The tastings were superb! Highly recommend taking this tour!
Albi has a way of surprising people - there's so much hidden in those small streets, and a good guide can lift the curtain on places you'd walk right past otherwise. Glad you enjoyed the tastings, too - we had so much fun developing this tour! Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Jessica
We live close to Albi and learned so much more about it during our walking tour. We had three friends visiting us from Canada and on the recommendation of a local friend who also took visitors booked our tour. Julia not only took us to lovely quartiers that we weren't aware of but our stops along the way to pick up our things for lunch were also a wonderful introduction. We received an informative history lesson about the cathedral and of Albi. I think my favorite stop was in the garden at Cloitre San Salvi which I didn't even know was there! We would highly recommend taking the Albi Walking Food Tour and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with Julia.
Julia was a fantastic guide and really bought the food and history of Albi to life. A delight that I would recommend to everyone.
Our guide, Cesca, was knowledgeable and good fun. It was a pleasure to spend time with her. We had a real variety of local food, which was delicious, and drink giving us a real sense of the region. We would strongly recommend others to take the tour!
We loved our food and walking tour of Albi with our wonderful guide Chesca. She took us to some beautiful places in Albi and explained the history and significance of each special landmark. The food was glorious and Chesca’s passion for the town and French cuisine is evident. The tastings we had at each location were so delicious! We would highly recommend this tour of Albi to everyone visiting!! 5 out of 5!! Thank you Chesca!
