Efeso: l'antica città di Efeso ospita molte rovine ben conservate, tra cui strade di epoca romana, edifici pubblici e case private. I visitatori possono esplorare la città e immaginare com'era la vita nell'impero romano. Alcuni dei punti salienti di Efeso includono la Biblioteca di Celso, il Grande Teatro, il Tempio di Artemide e le Case a Terrazza. Il sito più spettacolare di Efeso deve essere la facciata della Biblioteca di Celso. Costruita tra il 110 e il 135 d.C., la biblioteca originariamente aveva tre piani, ma un terremoto distrusse l'edificio nel X secolo. I pavimenti in vetro ti permettono di ammirare mosaici geometrici e affreschi ancora colorati che brillano sulle pareti: non c'è da stupirsi che alcuni paragonino il sito a Pompei.
La Casa della Vergine Maria: è un luogo di pellegrinaggio cristiano in Turchia, si ritiene che sia stata l'ultima dimora della Vergine Maria, madre di Gesù Cristo, che si dice abbia vissuto lì fino alla sua Assunzione. È considerato uno dei luoghi più santi del mondo dai cattolici.

The excursion was pleasant and very exciting. The visit included a tour of the House of the Virgin Mary and Ephesus. Our guide Orsun, extremely competent, also allowed us to see the Temple of Artemis (one of the seven wonders of the ancient world). What a day! Kaya was an incredible guide of the history of this beautiful country. We had a great day with his enthusiasm for the history of this ancient land. For the future you should ask them to skip the rug tour unless you’re really in the market. It was not a good use of precious time IMO.

Great guide very knowledgeable. Fascinating destinations. Great cheap lunch. Quite a snappy tour but we where expertly herded and it honestly didn't feel that way. Inevitable in this part the world two locations were effectively shops but we actually learned a bit and there was no hard sell (we didn't buy anything) everyone was delightful and friendly Ephesus was brilliant a must see and the museum experience was superbly done and very dramatic.

The Ephesus and House of Virgin Mary tour was amazing. Seeing the historical sites was great but the tour guide Memo was so knowledgeable it added so much to the experience.
