Memories Passage è uno dei vicoli più antichi di Shinjuku Golden Gai. È lungo circa 50-60 metri e largo 2-3 metri. La vista di questa strada è un must-see, in quanto è intrisa di storia di Golden Gai.
Le case a schiera in legno costruite dopo la guerra rimangono ancora, e quasi 300 ristoranti e bar sono stipati in una superficie di circa 6500 metri quadrati. Il lotto medio per un bar è di circa 4 tsubo (circa 14 metri quadrati). Quando si apre lo stretto ingresso di un bar, prevale un’atmosfera un po’ ammaliante e densa.
