This was a wonderful eperience! We did this on our second night in Tokyo, the day before we left on a cruise. It was wonderful and the food was amazing!! Our guide was Simon, a Swedish fellow who moved to Japan and has been living in Tokyo for 18 months. He was so kind and informative and easy to talk to about the food and Tokyo. Communication was smooth and clear. We got instructions on where to meet and when the day before. On the day of the food tour, we did the Hop On Hop Off bus - there were three routes and we did all three. We figured out which route took us closest to the meeting point and rode that route last and got off and played tourist in the area. We found the meeting point with minimal issues - Toyko is big and crowded and disorienting, but people are kind and helpful. We went to two neighborhood restaurants, one specialized in dumpling and one in tuna. Both were fabulous. The dumplings were tasty and satisfying; we also had fried chicken wings. We then went to Oh! Toro Kitchen which does just tuna - in every way imaginable. The tuna was amazing. Simon order about 4 dishes and we loved all of them. It was a very filling meal. He helped us get a taxi back to our hotel. If you are planning a trip to Tokyo, this food tour is a great option.
Faith was amazing. Very friendly and took us to some great places. Tried some new dishes and they were all delicious. Thoroughly recommend Faith and this tour. Thank you.
Great food tour, all three places were fun and the food was deliciou. One star off becuase the guide was not from Japan and was unable to answer most questions about the traidional food styles. She was still fun and did well with our group, but it would have been nice to have a local as a guide.
Jasmine was a great guide for my food tour in Shibuya! She had tons of fun facts about Japan and had great recommendations when it came to food, thanks for a great meal~!
