La Transnistria ha conservato molti monumenti, attrezzature, luoghi attraenti e fatti sovietici che sarà interessante per tutti imparare. Visitare la Transnistria è come viaggiare su una macchina del tempo: non è cambiato molto da oggi. Le città di Bender e Tiraspol conservano molti monumenti sovietici, con un'architettura specifica. Dovresti venire in Transnistria soprattutto se vieni da un paese che non ha mai fatto parte del blocco sovietico o da esso controllato. Ti aiuterà a capire com'era la realtà quotidiana per milioni di persone nell'Unione Sovietica. Visiterai il "museo" dell'epoca sovietica praticamente quasi completamente conservato. A seconda del numero di prenotazioni, a volte il tour potrebbe essere privato o condiviso con piccoli gruppi, fino a 8-10 persone. Ma dalla nostra esperienza la maggior parte dei nostri gruppi sono composti da 3-4 o 5 persone.

Itinerario
Visiteremo la Fortezza di Bender, situata sulla riva destra del Dniester nella città di Bender. La Rocca è un monumento architettonico del XVI secolo. La sua costruzione iniziò nel 1538 dopo che la città divenne parte dell'Impero Ottomano.
Visiteremo il Complesso della Memoria, sede di un cimitero militare abbandonato, dove, secondo i dati esistenti, erano sepolte 5127 anime. È noto che 110 reggimenti russi erano di stanza a Bender in vari momenti, specialmente durante le campagne balcaniche.
Panoramica di Tiraspol, capitale della Repubblica Moldava Pridnestroviana (Pridnestrovie/Transnistria). Scopriremo qui l'autostrada principale che si chiama 25th October Street. Attraversa il centro da est a ovest. Percorreremo tutta la strada in macchina. Visitando Tiraspol, puoi dire con sicurezza di essere tornato in URSS!
Ci sono diversi edifici attraenti dell'epoca di Stalin e il magnifico edificio della Casa dei Soviet con una guglia. In questo edificio si trovano i consigli comunali di Tiraspol, Dnestrovsk e un certo numero di organi cittadini e repubblicani. Di fronte all'edificio si può vedere un monumento a Lenin; l'hotel "Russia" (prima - "Druzhba") si trova sul lato opposto della strada.

La 25th October Street conduce alla piazza Suvorov dalle imponenti dimensioni (700x400 metri) ed è il cuore di Pridnestrovie. È stato costruito principalmente negli anni '70-'80. Qui si trovano Tiraspol Cinema (1984), City House of Culture (1950), Children and Youth Creativity Center e Monumento estremamente espressivo a Suvorov (1979), un simbolo non ufficiale di Pridnestrovie.
Dall'altro lato della piazza si trova il Memorial of Glory con un carro armato T-34 e una cappella con cupola dorata progettata da Harry Fayfermaher (1942-2002). Qui sono sepolti i liberatori della Moldavia caduti nel 1944 ei difensori di Pridnestrovie che si erano protetti dalle truppe della Moldova nazionalista nel 1991-1992. Accanto c'è il monumento ai soldati-internazionalisti morti in Afghanistan. Vicino al ponte si trovano il giardino pubblico di Francois de Wollant e il Pridnestrovian Alley of Glory con i monumenti a Caterina II e Francois de Wollant.
Vicino alla piazza c'è un imponente Consiglio Supremo (l'edificio del comitato cittadino con la bandiera della Repubblica Moldava Pridnestroviana aleggia su di esso e con il monumento a Lenin di granito rosa di fronte). Oggi ospita anche il governo di Pridnestrovie.
Pranzo nel suggestivo caffè "Stolovka USSR", in stile sovietico. Il pranzo è facoltativo, su richiesta degli ospiti.

Great trip with a knowledgeable and approachable tour guide (Dmitri). Despite a day of torrential rain, the tour was superb and we got to see many sites, as well as walking aside the locals getting a real impression of what life is like in this lovely area.
Wow. This is a fabulous tour, made even better by our fantastic guide Victor. He is knowledgeable, engaging and funny. The logistics were perfect - we were contacted to day before to confirm time of pick up, advised what to bring, and then transported effortlessly to every part of the tour on a comfortable, clean minibus. Victor gave a commentary through Chisinau and onto Bender, explaining the process for crossing the border and making this effortless and straightforward. He then took us to exchange currency, we saw the monuments and buildings in Bender, then drove on to Tiraspol. Victor told us about the history and geopolitical situation at every point and answered all questions openly and fully. Lunch in the Soviet canteen was great (and super cheap) and shopping in the market was great fun. We finished at Bendery fortress with more information and history, and then got driven back to Chisinau. Overall a truly brilliant tour, definitely helped by good weather and a great group of people on the tour, but so worth doing.
Interesting and insightful tour to Tiraspol with our fantastic guide Natalia. This included a really fascinating walking tour, lunch and then a visit to Bender Fortress. I was a little apprehensive about risks before the tour, but rest assured this is a safe tour in a secure environment. Highly recommended and a real 'eye opener'
This tour checked all the boxes for us. We were picked up and dropped off promptly, and had a very capable guide and driver. We saw Bender and Tiraspol, had a nice meal, and learned about the strange status of this territory.
Excellent experience. You leave a western place and arrive at the cult of the Soviet Union. An immersion in a different world.

Moldova has a fascinating history and an even more interesting present. Pridnestrovie … known in the west as Transnistria… is on a different trajectory and this excellent tour gives some insights of how things got to this point and the possible futures. Marina was the perfect guide helping us navigate the history and undercurrents of this land between two rivers - one facing east and one facing west.
It provided a good understanding of the history and current situation of Moldova and Transnistria. Thank you to our guide, Nicolai, for giving us a great tour.
An excellent tour! Natalia was very interesting and engaging, with just the right amount of information and context for everything. The USSR restaurant was great and had a wide variety of good food. Comfortable bus ride too.
