Viaggiando fuori da Inverness per 20 minuti ci fermiamo qui al Castello di Urquhart per 15 minuti per una photo opportunity.
Ci mettiamo 1 ora e 15 minuti a viaggiare dal Castello di Urquhart al Castello di Eilean Donan, questo è il Castello più fotografato della Scozia e ci fermiamo qui per una foto e una pausa in sala di riposo.
Viaggiando dal castello di Eilean Donan ci vuole 1 ora per raggiungere la nostra prima tappa sull'isola di Skye che è The Fairy Pools, qui si può fare un'escursione per 75 minuti e godersi il bellissimo paesaggio. Si trova a 20 minuti a piedi dalla prima piscina, quindi le persone dovrebbero avere un ragionevole livello di forma fisica.
Dopo la tua escursione a The Fairy Pools viaggiamo per 40 minuti fino a Portree. Portree è la città principale dell'isola di Skye e ci fermiamo qui per 45 minuti per permetterti di pranzare e vedere il grazioso porticciolo con le sue case dipinte.
A venti minuti di macchina da Portree raggiungiamo The Fairy Glen che è la nostra prossima tappa e il paesaggio qui vi toglierà il fiato, alcuni locali dicono che le piccole colline coniche sono le case delle fate e e la cima è Castle Ewen, il castello delle fate. Ci fermiamo qui per 30 minuti per farti ammirare la bellezza di questo posto.
Ci fermiamo al belvedere di Idrigil Bay sopra il porto dei traghetti di Uig dove si gode di una fantastica vista sulla baia di Idrigil.
A 20 minuti di auto dalla cima di The Quiraing raggiungiamo Kilt rock che è così chiamato perché le formazioni rocciose delle colonne di basalto assomigliano alle pieghe di un kilt, vedrete anche Mealt cadere mentre l'acqua scende 180 piedi in The Sound of Raasay.
A 15 minuti di auto da Kilt rock raggiungiamo The Old Man of Storr , un pinnacolo roccioso alto 160 piedi che si trova sulla Storr Mountain , ci fermiamo in un parcheggio vicino dove si gode la migliore vista di questo iconico punto di riferimento.
A 15 minuti di auto da The Old Man of Storr ci riporta a Portree dove ci fermiamo al The Skye Candle Visitor Centre per una pausa in camera di riposo per 15 minuti prima di iniziare il nostro viaggio di 2 ore e 30 minuti di ritorno a Inverness.

Amazing tour company. Billy and Lawrence are the best. Lawrence took care of us through all of his up front communications and making sure that this trip happened and Billy took great care with his bend over backwards, to make sure we had the best trip ever, mentality. There just aren’t enough words to describe how wonderful a tour guild Billy turned out to be. We had the most gloomy rainy day, yet Billy went out of his way at every turn to make our trip the best memories possible. Touring with Billy was like riding along with your favorite family member. He related well with every member of my family. He turned our tour into a trip of a lifetime, and help create lifelong memories. I highly recommend this company.

What a wonderful day with Kevin who took us around the Isle of Skye! His wit and knowledge of the Highlands made our day extra special! Clouds had settled over the “Old Man of Storr” most of the day, but Kevin remained hopeful and sure enough we were able to see the “old fella” before the end of our day. Thank you for a great day!

We were fortunate to have done a Skye tour with Billy just this week. He was a truly incredible guide! Billy was knowledgeable and knew the roads like the back of his hand. The sights were spectacular on their own but Billy really went above and beyond to make our trip special!

This tour was absolutely amazing. We chose it because it was one of the few we could find that did both the fairy pools and fairy glen in the same trip. Our guide Lawrence was fantastic, telling us about Scottish history as we went, providing recommendations, and willing to indulge us with our silly requests like dipping our faces in the Sligachan river. The views were amazing and we felt like we had plenty of time to enjoy each stop. I would easily recommend this tour and even do it again.

What a great tour. With it being a small group tour, we got in and out of the sites before the larger tours. There were 5 people on this tour, which can be up to 7. We got to see more places the bigger buses can not go. Our guide, Kevin, was very informative and kept us entertained. Skye is beautiful!
