Andando avanti abbiamo la splendida Quinta da Regaleira. Questo è un altro sito patrimonio dell'UNESCO con edifici antichi scolpiti, giardini incredibili e una brezza gotica che incanterà chiunque osi entrare. Pieno di storia alle spalle, imparerai tutto sulle grotte, i pozzi segreti e l'arte che ha avuto origine dalla Massoneria, dai Templari e dalla Croce Rosa. ( Monumento suggerito )
Questa magnifica proprietà è una giungla di alberi esotici e arbusti fioriti. La sua storia risale al tempo dei Mori, ma prende il nome da una piccola cappella del XVI secolo dedicata a Nostra Signora di Monteserrat, dalla Catalogna, in Spagna. ( Monumento suggerito )
Prima di spostarti verso Cabo da Roca, potresti voler fare una passeggiata nel centro storico di Sintra. Questo è un buon momento per riposare, pranzare e provare alcuni dolci tradizionali regionali. Potrai godere di un'ora di tempo libero!
Il palazzo romantico del XIX secolo è una meraviglia da scoprire e che non dimenticherete presto. È uno dei posti migliori per scattare foto. È posta in cima alla montagna con una splendida vista che si estende per chilometri, fino all’Oceano. ( Monumento suggerito )
Nel cuore del villaggio di Sintra, una coppia di insoliti camini conici sorgono sopra il Palazzo Reale. Questo palazzo divenne il rifugio estivo preferito della corte e continuò, come residenza dei reali Portoghesi, fino agli anni '80. La graduale ricostruzione del palazzo risultò in un affascinante amalgama di stili. ( Monumento suggerito )
Mentre cammini attraverso il bellissimo ed esotico paesaggio, la tua Guida ti fornirà dettagli storici e architettonici sulla regione, ma lasciandoti esplorare i monumenti da solo. Dopo più di un secolo come resort turistico, Cascais ha una certa notorietà che manca ai resort più recenti. La sua storia è visibile nelle ville lungo la costa. La baia di sabbia riparata era un tempo un porto di pescatori preistorico.

Alberto our tour guide/driver was an amazing person. He was very friendly and knowledgeable was took us to many stunning places. Sintra is very hilly place and can be very challenging for some people but it’s a must to do while in Portugal. We absolutely loved it.
Diego was awesome. We are pretty good at navigating public and private transportation systems but it was really nice having a pickup at our Airbnb and a direct drop off at the site. In addition, at the Pena palace, Diego knew everyone working there and quickly guided us through to the most important sections and showed us some neat Easter eggs that we would never have noticed without him and made it just perfect length for our family of five. We would have had not nearly as nice of an experience if we were doing it on our own even though we are fairly comfortable doing things by ourselves. If you're on the fence between doing it yourself or having this private tour I would 100% recommend going for the tour as it will be a much more relaxing and enjoyable day, while at the same time learning a lot more important and interesting history about Portugal and the sites.

Fabio was outstanding! His blend of knowledge, history, humor, patience and his willingness to cater the tour to accommodate our preferences was unmatched. He also has an excellent eye for photography and captured many amazing photos of my family. Did I mention he was patient? 😃 He took us to some amazing sites. He was a very skilled driver and helped us bypass the crowds on several occasions. He also allowed us to explore when we wanted and made some excellent food recommendations along the way. I would highly recommend the all-day Sintra tour with Fabio! 5 stars all the way around.

I can’t say enough about how wonderful our tour guide, Felipe, was or how incredible this tour turned out to be. Not only is Felipe exceptionally knowledgeable about Portugal’s history, but he’s also an amazing photographer. He went above and beyond to make sure we captured beautiful photos at every stop that truly looked like we had the places all to ourselves. He even took us to a peaceful, secluded beach for lunch and drove us around Cascais, sharing the history and unique character of each town along the way. Every part of the day felt thoughtful, relaxed, and personalized. For my teenagers to finish the tour and say, “That was an amazing tour,” tells you everything you need to know. We would absolutely recommend Swingo and specifically Felipe to anyone visiting Portugal.

Went on a tour to Sintra and surrounding regions. We had pre booked tickets for quick entry into castles which is a big help. Our tour guide Philipe made the day flow smoothly, like a friend showing us his favourite sites, we had a great laugh. He’s extremely knowledgeable about Sintra and Portugals history. First time in Portugal and wanted to try a private tour. I believe we hit the jackpot with Diogo! He picked us up at out hotel right at 9am having confirmed the night before. We discussed before hand what we would like to see. Trying to optimize weather conditions in the Sintra Mountains, Diogo had a customized tour for us that included the Monserrate Palace and Botanical Gardens, the westernmost point of Europe in Portugal (Cabo da Roca), and the Pena Palace. It was an amazing combination of both arcitechural and environmental experiences. All of the different places were puntuated with Diogo's vast knowledge of history. There is also a bit of storyteller in him which made for a very pleasurable day.

Alexandre was our private tour guide. He picked us up from the cruise terminal and dropped us off at our stay at the end of our tour. He really took great care of me and my two kids. He was very informative and wonderful to talk to. We got to do everything on the list and he made sure we ate wonderful meals and taste some Portuguese delicacies. It was very relaxing but yet exciting day. I highly recommend this tour and ofcourse our tour guide Alexandre.
