The Colored Canyon very nice and also the Blue Hole (although the Ras Mohamed reef is definitely more beautiful and rich in fish and the beach is very very neglected). The real problem is everything between these two experiences: a tourist trap. We refused to do the experience in dromedary because it was really of a terrible squalor as well as among the thousand things that insistently wanted to sell you, there was also the kefiah without which it seemed "you could not do the experience" neither in dromedary, nor motorcycle in the desert. We know that you are not obliged to buy but the insistence on everything and the lies told to make everything seem necessary and almost mandatory (actually to sell by cheating) were really heavy. The climax, however, was the "Dahab visit": they take you to a low-level shopping mall for more than an hour with the classic "perfume demonstration". You can't go around the city alone and if you're not interested you're forced to waste your time waiting for others. Of course the stop at the mall is not specified in the tour program. The trip to the Canyon (the most beautiful part) relegated to the end and hasty. We've stayed in the same way of deception we saw 30 years ago. Nothing has changed. That's too bad.
Excursion to do absolutely, excellent organization, from snorkeling, completely different from that in Sharm for the rough sea and less warm and therefore with wetsuits, to the jeep in the desert, to the canyon at sunset with incredible colors. A special note of appreciation for the NS guide. Man really helpful and prepared
Great trip! Everything was OK, with no annoying places during the journey. It was a discovery trip, where we visited a reef and a canyon near Dahab—not the Colored Canyon (it is temporarily closed). However, it had perfect panoramic views. Omar was a great guide; we didn’t have to wait anywhere. The whole trip was well-planned, and we had time for ourselves—restrooms, shopping, and photos. He speaks perfect Italian and English, so we were very satisfied. One of the best trips in Egypt, in my opinion!
