What an Absolute AMAZING time we had on the Inca Trail with the TreXperience team!! They really went above and beyond for everything we can think of. From 2 private hot showers for our group of 7 to 2 masseuses to take care of us after a long day of hiking to simply awesome meals - Jose and his team of guides, chefs, porters and massage therapists were all a delight to do this journey with. We had 3 kids ages 9, 11 and 13.. And as soon as the youngest two struggled, they immediately grabbed their backpacks and stayed with them to ensure they're hydrated along the hike. Our beds and tents were super comfortable. They even gave us hot water bladders to keep our feet warm during the cold night. Jose was so knowledgeable in every aspects of the Incas, Machu Pichu and Peru overall. Patiently answering all our questions and really making sure all our needs were taken care of. Just simply Awesome!

A memorable adventure for many reasons! We booked our Luxury Inca Trail with Trexperience and met our head guide Monica and 2nd guide Alec the night prior to departure. Heading out on Day 1 we were very excited to hike the Inca trail. Unfortunately, due to severe altitude sickness and a stomach flu we were unable to continue past Day 1. Monica was very compassionate and caring with helping me recover as best as possible. Monica liased with her team of porters and staff in the office constantly and reorganised our entire trip so we could get to Machu Picchu as planned. That might sound easy but you have to remember hotels, train and bus tickets are booked well in advance so they did an amazing job securing this for us. I would recommend Trexperience if your looking for a company that will totally look after you and your needs in Peru!

This trip to Machu Picchu Highlands and Highlands private cook is really fantastic! The tour guide David is super attentive and takes care of us on the road. Hearing him tell the history and geography of the Inca is not boring, let us really understand this great civilization, not just horse-watching flowers. To mention the hero behind the scenes we feel the most – the Mountain Collaboration Team! The Peruvian stewed beef and hot meat soup fruit salad we ate in the mountains, they carried the fresh ingredients, 20kg gas cans, even living room chairs, a kilogram a kilogram up the mountain with their shoulders! Even the towel is well placed It is a ritual Can eat these on the mountain, really full of emotion. The most touching thing is to prepare hot water washing for us in the tent area without hot water Wash away from sweat and fatigue With David’s professional planning and superb team, we’ve had this lifelong journey. Overall, our experience with TreXperience was mixed. Some team members were outstanding and made parts of the journey memorable, but there were also serious operational, communication, and guiding issues that affected our confidence in the experience. First, Rosmel from the sales team was excellent from the beginning — professional, responsive, and very helpful in resolving last-minute confusion before the trek. Unfortunately, the operations side felt disorganized. A few days before the trip, Edith contacted us again requesting food preferences and payment information that we had already submitted four months earlier. I had also completed the wire transfer more than 10 days before departure and emailed proof of payment, but never received confirmation. Being asked again shortly before the trek was concerning and made us question how organized the company really was. There was also a major issue with one of our Machu Picchu circuit tickets. We were a party of two, and one permit had been booked for the wrong date by TreXperience. Thankfully the guide team resolved, but this should never happen with such time-sensitive permits. Another major concern was the lack of a proper safety and logistics briefing. The “briefing” was only a four-minute phone call and did not adequately explain emergency procedures, altitude concerns, trail risks, or what equipment the guides carried. We did not feel properly prepared. The rushed briefing also caused avoidable problems. Freddy told us water was included but failed to explain that we needed to carry our own water for the first several hours of the trek. As a result, we did not bring enough water and were left unprepared. Lourdes, the guide assistant, was absolutely outstanding. She stayed with us throughout the trek, checked on us constantly, and was attentive, kind, and customer-oriented. She genuinely made the experience better. Daniel, the chef, was also amazing. The meals were excellent, especially considering the conditions, and his work added so much comfort to the experience. Eli, the masseuse, was incredible to have during the trek and provided a level of care and support that was deeply appreciated. Lourdes, Daniel, and Eli were all extremely customer-oriented and helped make difficult moments much more manageable. Unfortunately, Freddy as the main guide left us disappointed. We booked Circuit 1/3, but during the tour he made us cross into Circuit 2 areas, and I am not even sure that was permitted. More importantly, his explanations about Machu Picchu often lacked depth and historical understanding. When asked meaningful questions about the site and the Incas, he sometimes answered with “coincidence,” which felt dismissive and inaccurate considering the intentionality and sophistication of Inca engineering and culture. I wish he had demonstrated a stronger knowledge base and a deeper appreciation for the historical significance of Machu Picchu. TreXperience clearly has some exceptional staff members, but the operational coordination, safety communication, and consistency in guide quality need significant improvement to match the level of experience being advertised. There were also smaller but still important details that did not match expectations. The porter bags did not have proper hip support, which made us question whether adequate attention is given to porter comfort and equipment quality. In addition, we did not have the Andean Shaman/Pachamama ceremony that had been part of the experience we expected, which was disappointing because it is presented as a meaningful cultural component of the journey.

Such a wonderful trip! The 4-day luxury tour is Inca Trail glamping at its best. Our guide, Monica, was fantastic. She brought the Inca history to life and tailored the experience to our preferences. Our chef, Alejandro, created delicious, creative & healthy meals -- he should open a restaurant! Toro, our head porter, seamlessly handled all of the logistics and added lots of personal touches to enhance our comfort at every turn. Rosmel, in the front office, promptly answered our many questions and made sure we were taken care of from our arrival in Cusco to departure. Overall a magical, amazing Inca Trail trek and Sacred Valley visit. Highly recommend TreXperience!

Our 4 day/3 night Inca Trail Luxury Experience with Trexperience was superb! Every detailed planned and executed to perfection by the office staff and trail crew. Our head guide, Abelardo, was first and foremost concerned with our health and safety and helped each of us successfully navigate the high elevation and difficult terrain. He shared extensive knowledge of Incan history and managed the crew of 57 expertly. Our assistant guides, Efrain, Fernadino, Rosa, John Cesar and Evangelino were helpful, friendly and attended to our every need. The head chef, Daniel, and his assistant, Vincent, prepared absolutely fabulous 4 -course meals with the freshest ingredients, beautiful presentation and excellent flavor- they even provided a birthday cake for one of our hikers. The massage experience was excellent. Elisabeth and Merili are well trained and the dedicated massage tent and comfortable massage beds added to the luxury of our daily massage. Our porter crew of 47 was wonderful. They cheered for us each day as we entered camp and were friendly and respectful and a delight to encounter on the trail. The porter boss, Santos, ran his crew with expert efficiency. Each porter knew his assignment and all worked in harmony. Among our porters was our shaman, Climaco. Our sacred service with him on the third afternoon was a blessing to us all. Our only frustration was in trying to obtain proper tipping information. We were stunned to realize that our trek required a staff of 57 people, but the day we entered our first camp we understood why: Beautiful tents, luxury beds and bedding, a dining tent, a shower tent, a private restroom tent, real dishes and silverware, 4-course meals, and lovely decorations were only made possible with a crew of this size. Our tips in total equaled 21% of the cost of the trip and they were worth EVERY penny!!! Others considering the Luxury Trek are encouraged to plan accordingly- you will want to when you experience this incredible level of service. This was the experience of a lifetime for the seven people in our party, each who have traveled extensively. The crew, the amenities, the food, the hiking, the scenery, the history- all of it was extraordinary. Thank you to all who made this trip a complete success!!

Wow! What an adventure! Jose and the rest of the crew were simply amazing! They made every minute wonderful! The hike is tough but they make you know you can keep going! Extremely knowledgeable even with all my questions about the history of the Incas. The food every meal was spectacular from Chef Daniel!! Still don’t know how you make a cake while camping! I highly recommend this group. If you’ve been looking around and researching, look no further…I saw many groups on my hike, and I knew I was experiencing the best of the best!

I joined the 4-day / 3-night Inca Trail expecting an incredible hike and breathtaking views. What I didn’t expect was how deeply human this experience would feel. The trail itself is stunning — ancient stone paths, misty mountains, changing weather, and the quiet power of history under your feet. Machu Picchu at the end is, of course, unforgettable. But for me, the most meaningful part wasn’t just the destination. It was the people. Our guide was knowledgeable, patient, and deeply respectful of the land and its history. He didn’t just explain the Inca civilization — he helped us feel connected to it. And the porters… I honestly don’t have enough words. Their strength, kindness, and quiet smiles made every day lighter. They worked incredibly hard, yet always made us feel cared for. I’ve been traveling solo for a long time, and somewhere along this trail, sharing meals, stories, laughter, and tired legs, I felt something I hadn’t felt in a long while — a sense of family. Eating together after long days, checking in on each other, celebrating small moments… it felt like home, even though we all came from different parts of the world. This trek gave me more than memories and photos. It reminded me how powerful simple human connection can be. If you’re considering the Inca Trail, know this: Yes, it’s physically demanding. Yes, it’s iconic. But if you allow yourself to be present, it might also give you something far deeper than you expect. I’ll carry this experience with me for a very long time.

I just returned from an epic 4-day Inca Trail hike with Trexperience, and it was unforgettable! The logistics were seamless from Cusco, letting us immerse in stunning Andean views, ancient ruins, and challenging paths. Our guide, Edi de Puma, was fantastic—passionate about Incan history, flora, and fauna, keeping spirits high. His evening flute sessions under the stars added a cultural touch that was pure serenity. Edi, you're a legend! Chef Alejandro blew us away with gourmet Peruvian meals and even baking a cake at high altitude—all hearty and diet-friendly. The porters were heroes, hauling gear efficiently with smiles, sharing their traditions for a deeper experience.
