My granddaughter and I went to the SeaMax film in Ketchikan yesterday. It was wonderful fun. We flew over glaciers, road a dog sled, toured an ice cave and went river rafting all through the 4D experience. Each and every person we came into contact with was friendly, informative and provided quality service. We loved the experience, thank you for providing this experience.
This movie is very well done. The cinematography is excellent. You really get a good feel for what Alaska is. The location is easy to find. There is a small snack bar and the staff are very helpful. I loved the 4d effects from the sights, smells, seat movement and the weather effects. The only thing I had issue with was getting into the seats as they had a rather high step and I have limited mobility in one knee. We enjoyed the show very much and would recommend this to first timers and repeat visitors.
The Seamax adventure film provided a unique view of mountains, underneath glaciers, grizzly bears, and other outdoor adventures that would be impossible for the average person to see. Our grandchildren, age is 14 and 12 thoroughly enjoyed it. Money well spent.
This is a new offering in Ketchikan this year. We are locals and went to it today on a locals special. It was about 35 minutes long including introduction & theater. It was great to see the Ketchikan & Alaska experience - Edge of the Wild! From the pre-show with well known locals to the full immersive Alaska experience with rain, snow, smells and awesome flying views it was totally worth seeing & feeling. As an overview of what Alaska has in store for visitors it is a great introduction & we will be sure to bring any guests we have to see this epic presentation.
On beautiful sunny day in Ketchikan, yes sunny! We headed into Seamax for 5 year old grandson’s birthday celebration. It smelled new and fresh! Young lady at front was prompt in helping us. We entered the staging area and it was comfy and roomy. We watched a great introduction with Nathan Jackson and narrated by the one and only Joe Williams! Both Tlingit elders. The theater was roomy and the movie was AWESOME! The smells were neat—thank you for no sea lion smell!!! The movement and mists and snow ! This was totally fun. And before you know it-we covered all of Alaska. Trivia was nice touch!!! Great work team. Fun for all ages and groups would have excellent memories
Excellent interactive film. Theater is located close to cruise ship docks and an easy walk. It feels like you were experiencing the real thing. My favorite section was going underneath the glacier.
