We had a wonderful time. Angie was amazing teaching us the history of salsa and teaching us the dance. An experience you have to have. Also the live music was the best atmosphere
I really enjoyed the 45-minute salsa lesson at the beginning of the evening. The class was held on the second floor of the bar, and the instructor was engaging, fun, and knowledgeable. I especially appreciated that she shared some of the history of salsa while making everyone feel comfortable, regardless of their experience level. Unfortunately, the experience changed once the class ended. We were taken downstairs to one of the most popular salsa bars in San Juan, but our group was seated all the way in the back. After we received our complimentary drink, there was no more interaction from the instructor for the rest of the night. I had expected more engagement—perhaps encouragement to get out on the dance floor, introductions to the venue, or even some stories about the bar's rich history, which is reflected in the photographs and memorabilia displayed throughout. Overall, I don't feel this experience was worth the price. If you're looking for an introductory salsa lesson, the class itself was enjoyable. However, if you're hoping for a guided night out with continued interaction and a more immersive salsa experience, I would recommend looking at other tours. If you're already an experienced salsa dancer, you're probably better off visiting the bar on your own.
Hi Angelica, I found this review surprising! When you came as a solo traveler. I took it upon myself to personally be your dance partner throughout the entire dance class. Then, when we went to the bar, I invited you to sit at my table (so you wouldn't be alone) and continued to chat with you throughout the night. As the night continued, I got up to dance with the locals, as I like to break the ice and make the dancefloor more inviting for my students. At this point you left our table and went to sit with the others in our group. I was glad you felt comfortable socializing with the group! The bar portion of the evening is meant to for you to enjoy your complimentary drink, practice dancing with the locals, and enjoy a live band! I delivered all that :) I'm sorry if you feel I didn't encourage you to get on the dancefloor, but I would have been more than happy to dance with you if you had asked me! My advice - please ask these questions or express your expectations and feelings to your guide during the experience. When we know how you feel, we will do everything we can to make sure we deliver and give you the best experience possible! Trust me, nobody wants a 2 star review. It is very damaging to our local small business :(
This is a great activity for solo travelers!!! “Tí Tí” Angie was an amazing instructor that great history on salsa. The location was an intimate local spot with remarkable food, and energetic vibes. If you get on the dance floor during salsa time be prepared to dance the night away!!

Wow! I booked this very last minute and couldn't be happier with my decision! Angie is so skilled, funny and kind to dance with. Im a masc presenting lesbian so, I typically lead when dancing and she made me feel welcome and comfortable doing so. I got to experience both leading and following which was fun. The class is easy in my opinion to pick up on and dancing with the locals afterwards is a real treat. One of my favorite experiences ever!
Angie is an awesome teacher. Very fun and energetic, a true puertorrican from head to toes. Totally recommended for beginners. And the live band also was really good.
Amazing experience! Angie is a wonderful, excited, accessible teacher who brought facts about Caribbean dances and who really made the whole group out of class fit to dance. The place, Music Bar & Lounge, was an authentic salsa house, and after the lesson of about 1 hour we spent more than 2h dancing with the local attendants (and we managed to dance!). I made friends, had a lot of fun, and danced all night. Wonderful, indicate to everyone!

Angelina did a wonderful job educating us on the culture and the history of Puerto Rican dance.. My daughter who loves to dance had a wonderful time.
