Super comprehensive activity. Many activities to do in half a day. And it has some delicious snack options. I recommend it 100%. The massage was quite good!

Reef Explorer is one of the best snorkeling excursions in this country. It is incredible how they have so many things on that platform. A quality investment

This excursion was a blast I had all I was looking for, free snorkeling time, kayaking, the water bicycle was just amazing. The lady that did my massage knew what she was doing, I’ll do it all over again.

Pick up and drop off was included as stated. Driver showed us around area with crocodile, iguanas, etc when we first arrived. Got checked in went to a waiting area with bathrooms available. Multiple different group tours start about the same time. Group of about 30 started with a short (~10 minutes) open boat ride to a semi-permanent dock type "island." Had roped in areas to snorkel with stingrays and sharks, and an open area with a small reef. Another tour group stopped and snorkeled nearby. Very little instruction with snorkeling. Sea scooters and flippers available. Had sea-view floats for those who don't like snorkeling to see underwater. Kayaks, paddle boards, and sea hammocks available to use. Waist floats provided. Bar area with snacks (ham and cheese or cheese sandwiches, chips and salsa, fruits, coconut, etc) and non-alcoholic drinks (pop, water). Had a few tables in shade and loungers in the sun. Massage was 15 minutes on a massage table and decent. Best part was being able to do what you want for a long time. We snorkeled for almost the whole time. Had 2 composting toilets on the dock, good balance is helpful since they're not attached and dock moves :-) with hand sanitizer. Would recommend if you want one place to stay and be able to choose what you want to do.

AMAZING! Transport in a very comfortable air-conditioned van, arrived in a place of paradise! The morning was fabulous, 3h incredible in a beautiful sea reef, very well maintained and magical. You have 3 hours to do multiple activities in free time: swimming above sharks and rays, cycling in the water, using small motors when you swim, canoeing, paddle, snorkelling, you have 15 minutes of massage per person, you can also sunbathe in or out of the water, and you have drinks and snacks at will. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and some speak French! We recommend x1000 and will not hesitate to do this activity again, do not miss out!

Vous avez tout à fait raison, c’est une expérience vraiment incroyable, et nous sommes heureux de voir qu’elle vous a autant marquée. I will start by saying all the people in the Punta Cana are just so lovely, including the guides on this tour BUT this tour was awful. $155 per person , to see fish and sharks in cages !! This was NOT snorkeling !! Food served only included , fruit, fruit smoothies and dry sandwich with one slice of ham and cheese. I did not do the massage as it was unhygienic. DO NOT waste your $ on this tour. Total rip off.

These animals are within a delimited ocean area where guests can observe them safely in a natural environment. Regarding snorkeling, guests are free to explore the reef area, and guided tours are available for those who wish to cover longer distances. We understand that expectations can differ and regret that this did not match yours. In addition to snorkeling, the Reef Explorer experience also includes activities such as kayaking, paddle boarding, and access to different marine areas, offering a more complete experience beyond snorkeling alone. Concerning the food, we provide light refreshments throughout the experience, including smoothies, sandwiches, and snacks such as fresh fruit, nachos and vegetable sticks. Our sandwiches are prepared fresh, so we will review this with the team to understand what may have happened during your visit. Regarding the massage area, hygiene protocols are in place, including changing linens and sanitizing equipment between each guest. We will reinforce this with the team to ensure it is clearly visible. We regret that your experience did not reflect the standards we aim to provide and appreciate your feedback. The sharks and stingrays were kept in small enclosures. The sharks appeared stressed and were all grouped tightly in one corner, which was uncomfortable to watch. The stingray was repeatedly taken out of the water so guests could take photos with it, which did not seem respectful to the animal. The food was very basic — just a few sandwiches and some fruit. When I asked for a coffee refill, I was told there was none left. The massage experience was also concerning. After finishing with one client, the masseur did not change the bed sheets or towels before the next person, and there was no visible hand washing or sanitising. That felt unhygienic and unprofessional. On top of all this, staff were constantly asking for tips, which made the experience even more uncomfortable. Overall, I would not recommend this experience.

Nurse sharks are a nocturnal species, meaning they are naturally less active during the daytime. It is also completely normal behavior for nurse sharks to rest closely together, this often referred to as “shark piles” or “cuddle puddles.” This grouping is typical for the species and not a sign of stress. All marine animals are monitored and cared for according to established standards. Regarding the stingrays, interaction sessions are carefully supervised by trained staff and conducted in short, controlled intervals. At times, guests may briefly hold a stingray for a photo under guidance, but these moments are limited in duration and manage to ensure the animals’ safety and comfort. Concerning the food and beverage service, our bar offers a variety of items including smoothies, fresh fruit, vegetable sticks, nachos with salsa, sandwiches, cookies and granola, coffee, and soft drinks. We understand that food preferences are subjective, and while many guests enjoy the selection provided, we respect that it may not suit everyone’s personal taste. Coffee refills are normally available throughout the experience, and if there was any misunderstanding or timing issue during your visit, we regret the inconvenience. We would also like to clarify that our massage area follows hygiene protocols, including changing linens and maintaining sanitation standards between guests. If this was not clearly visible, we appreciate you bringing it to our attention so we can reinforce procedures with our team. As for gratuities, tipping is entirely optional. Teresa de SolTour / representative of Dominican Tours has sold me this excursion as sightings of species not deprived of liberty and in its natural environment. What I found was: caged species, sharks and mantas confined to the pools where tourists jumped. Lots of noise around. Making money from animal abuse seems like a century ago.
A r n a q u e This might be great... but no. If you arrive in the afternoon, the sea scooters (propellers) are unloaded, today, one of the two glass bottom boats was defective... Skates and sharks are in pens in the open sea, but too small... The snack is just ridiculous... The nice side is gone, as has many places in Punta Cana.. Just take a lot of money from the tourists. For half the price ok... but not at that price.
